Alice Cooper's new studio album, his first in 6 years, 'Paranormal' was recorded in Nashville with long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin. The 10 track album also features a very special bonus CD a mini-album consisting of two brand new songs written and recorded together with the original Alice Cooper band members Dennis Dunaway, drummer Neal Smith and guitarist Michael Bruce alongside carefully selected live recordings. 'Paranormal' also features special guest appearances by U2's Larry Mullen Jr., ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Deep Purple's Roger Glover.
'Paranormal' will be available July 28th and Alice Cooper will be touring the US through the end of June and then hit the road with Deep Purple and the Edgar Winter Band in August.

In the long view, I think history may rate this as one of his 5 best albums ever. And there is no mistaking the power of the original Alice Cooper Band members who play on a couple cuts, they flat out rock. There wouldn't be an Alice Cooper without the legend that is the original band. The second CD is quite the bonus. A sure-fire bang is guaranteed for all.
Holy Water - i think either you love it or hate it- I love it! Back in the day it would be a huge hit. Now maybe not, but who knows. Very fun song.
The Sound of A - great moody, psychedelic song. I think the "A" means apathy. Anyone know for sure?
Larry Mullens Jr. from U2 plays drums on most tracks, and has some really cool, complex drum parts in his songs. The original AC group members wrote and play on three or four other songs, and well what can you say about those guys, they are legendary (they never get enough credit).
I think the live tracks were unnecessary since there is alot of live Alice out already. They should have included some rare live tracks like "The World Needs Guts".
Great album - highly recommended!
Fans who loved "2" as much as I did will understand what this album is all about. It's witty and scary and emotive and it's all backed by some of the best musicians Alice has ever joined forces with. Disc 2 is filled with Alice and the original band, providing 2 brand new songs, and then a live set that reaches back to the very beginning, reminding listeners, as if they actually needed it, what we fell in love with all those years ago.
At nearly 70 years of age, and after nearly 50 years of performing, this album demonstrates that Alice still has a lot to say.
