About the Winery
Legendary California winemaker John Parducci and his family founded Parducci Wine Cellars in 1932 with a passion for creating quality wine with great value. Wine lovers all over the world—from experienced connoisseurs to casual enthusiasts—have come to share in a 80-year legacy of our small lot, artisan wines, including Parducci Small Lot Blend, Isabella, True Grit RESERVE, Coro Mendocino, and Parducci RESERVE. Today Parducci Wine Cellars continues to be family-owned and operated by three generations of the Thornhill family. The Thornhills are dedicated to growing superior wine grapes in Mendocino County and are guided by a philosophy of "leaving things better than we find them." This translates to high standards for both winery operations and vineyard cultivation practices, including a farm-to-table garden program, wildlife habitat preservation, and a nationally recognized water conservation and reclamation program.
The grapes for each Parducci wine are sourced from distinct vineyard parcels in and around Mendocino County, each with its own microclimate and soil composition. Each lot is individually vinified and cellared to develop its own unique body and flavor profiles. Head Winemaker Bob Swain then thoughtfully gauges each lot’s characteristics to achieve a final blend with just the right balance of flavor and texture
Parducci operates with a deep commitment to environmentally sound vineyard practices, including 100% green powered winery operations and a nationally recognized water conservation and reclamation program. Legendary Wines start with the healthiest vines. In all we do, we are committed to protecting the health of our vineyards for future generations.
"Each vintage I work to emulate and build upon the varietally correct style that John Parducci made famous in his role as winemaker for over 50 years. Each vintage builds this legendary estates story"
-BOB SWAIN, HEAD WINEMAKER

I haven't had any of the wine from this order yet, but I've already had wine from Parducci in the past, so I already know it's good. The fact that this is a reorder from a delighted customer says it all. To this day, I remember my happy surprise the first time I tasted wine from this winery. I had been experimenting - trying wines I wasn't familiar with just for the fun of it - and their wines were SO much better than I had even anticipated. I'm not a particularly well-educated wine drinker nor do I know the lingo often used to describe wines by those who are, but the best description I can give when I drank wines from a previous order is that I sensed an artisan's hand lovingly behind the making these.
