We have a very small house and the playroom doubles as a nighttime sleeping space for our 9 month old until she's sleeping well enough to share the bedroom with her sibling. We've popped this thing up and down twice every day since we bought it in May and it's holding up beautifully. About 75 days, so 150 popups and fold-downs total. No sign of wear or breakage. She sleeps very soundly in it. I don't put the mattress bottom in the sleeve like they recommend, I put it directly in the bottom of the crib, so it takes me 30 seconds to fold down, less to set up. My child is 9 months old and can roll easily, crawl and cruise, so getting stuck between the mattress and bottom of the crib isn't an issue. If you put the mattress in the sleeve under the crib bottom it would take longer to set up and fold down ... but not much. This crib is TRULY popup. No tools or additional steps. One smooth move to fold down. Stand back and let go of it, now it's popped up. This is truly what I'd been searching for but could never find. Highly recommend. *pictures are taken on a twin size mattress*

We bought this for a vacation because our 18 month old has outgrown the pack n play but we still need her contained at night. We wish we would have known about this earlier! We never would have wasted money on the pack n play! The only down side is since the base is wider than the top you have to lean forward to put them down. But the wide base helps keep it steady so it's worth it. Having the mattress in the ground removes the sway that happens in the pack n play when bigger kids roll around. A bit bigger than the pack n play - our daughter is in the 95th percentile for height and this works great. Great height on the sides. Super easy to put up and take down. Folds flat so we can store it under a bed. Not too heavy so it's easy to carry and fit into your car. I'll be buying these for baby shower gifts going forward!

After years of wresting with our pack n play to get it set up, it finally ripped for no good reason. I decided I couldn't bring myself to buy another and decided to try a different option for traveling with our youngest. I love, love the JourneyBee.

The JourneyBee pops right open (I can do it one-handed) without having to pull on beams to get them to lock. Fold-up is a little more effort, but after a few disassemblies, it has become easy (it kind of folds in on itself). Despite simple set-up and take-down, the JourneyBee is a really sturdy and solid travel crib. Baby can play in it and pull-up on it and it maintains its shape. It is a lot shorter than the pack n play, but this is because it sits on the ground (a pack n play sits on wheels which make it taller). The JourneyBee folds up into a flat/easy to store half-circle shape. I find it more convenient to try to store/pack in the car than the awkward pack n play rectangle.

So far, I'm loving the change!

This is such a great, lightweight travel bed. The only issue I have with it design-wise is that it takes up a lot more floor space than the actual crib area. I guess this is for stability, but being 5'4", I had to stretch a bit to pick up my baby. My feet can really only get up to the border which is a good 8" away from the actual crib itself. Also- what's the deal with the company?! I tried going to their website to register for safety alerts and there is no site at the parentlab.com address. The phone number only gives a busy signal too. Are they out of business? I see ours was manufactured in 2012 and all the reviews and press I could find online is from 2012 as well. It's a great product so it would be a shame if they were out of business.

I bought it for travel and it worked great. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the sheet. It has velcro that attached to the bottom of the structure, so you you to use what is provided. I like to wash all items before my child uses them and I wasn't able to do so with this travel bed before my child fell asleep. While the velcroed sheet was being washed, I tried to use a crib sheet to no avail. Needless to stay, I was up most of the night making sure that my child wasn't suffocating on the crib sheet. The next day once the velcrod sheet was clean, all was fine. I may invest in another velcro sheet just to have one on hand, in case of spit up and everything else that comes with having a child.

Superb for travel!! Don't waste your money on a crib. Buy this!

Used this for traveling. We didn't want to pay for a crib, but knew that we couldn't have our 1 year old just on a mat without any barriers. This was perfect! It's conveniently sized--not too big but roomy enough for a toddler to sleep in. It's surprisingly sturdy! Our 1 year old would wake up, and start running from one side to the other, and this did not bulge over one bit! I was a little worried about how comfortable the mat would be...it's quite cushy! Although appearing thin, it was surprisingly comfortable. It came with a sheet covering for the mat, which was soft and stayed in place. For the price and quality, I'm surprised and grateful to have found this. Also, the design is very cute. We would definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling with a little one and needs a place for the baby to sleep.

I thought this was going to be a wonderful product, and was so excited... when I received it I was surprised.. it is pretty big! Much bigger than I imagined... It is pretty easy to assemble, and it looks cute, but it is a bit of a pain in the neck to put the baby in and get him out of the crib because the crib "walls" don't come straight down, but at an angle.. so you kind of have to step on the side "walls" to have a firm stance that is close enough for you to bend down and get the baby, so it's not well-designed... you end up losing your balance, not able to really step close to it.. I ended up having to put one leg inside the crib and keeping the other outside to be able to lay the baby down.. pretty upset about it. Looks cute, easy to put together, but overall a pain in the neck and BIG when folded! Not much more portable than traditional ones.. I am very disappointed because I wanted to love this product!
