A Parfait Murder was very close to being a perfect murder. The book was character driven and used a County fair as it's location. There is a murder, but to tell you where, would be a crime itself, as it was cleverly drawn.

Tally and Bree are busy trying to make a living with their Ice Cream store and fairway stand. Bree sees her ex-husband, and nonpaying child supporter, and off she flys to get back payments. Prior to this, she gets served with Paternity papers from the beautiful blonde lawyer with a colorful past.

Now, there are twists and turns throughout this novel that will surprise you or not, but at times, I found myself thinking over the morals of today's society. I'm getting older.

At the ending, there are delicious ice cream creations to try out in your home kitchen.

Terrific read. I like a thoughtful book.

What I liked about the book: I LOVE this series. This is the third book in the series and each one has been a very entertaining read. Watson's characters (much like Texas hair) are big and over the top. She mixes humor, mystery, family drama and romance together to create a delicious read. As a Texan, living out of state, this series has a very special personal appeal for me. The "family drama" (and I'm not talking about the deadbeat ex-husband) was a little disheartening, but the way the characters dealt with it felt real and ultimately made for a good Texas soap opera type story.

What I didn't like about the book: Can't think of a thing I didn't like. This was one of my "treat" reads for the Thanksgiving break.

i have enjoyed the books in this series up until this one and i am not planning to continue the series. the plot twist was actually rather well done; however i was disappointed in the way tally delt with the situation. she watched the shopping channel and took peachy's advise and put on her "big girl pants" and everything was peachy-keen again...after such a big betrayal i would have expected her to be a little less forgiving towards finn as well as her family members.
