Aside from the inelegant title, this is a nice collection. But first you need to know the following -

*This is a paperback book. It is formatted exactly like any comic book graphic novel. Same size, same thickness.
*The paper quality is not the greatest. It is about what you would get if you printed these photos yourself on decent, unglossy paper. I repeat, these are not glossy photos on ultra-nice paper. If you must have that in order to enjoy nude pictures, do not purchase this.
*Some of the girls have armpit hair. Not all of them. It's not horny helga hippy girl viking armpit hair. Just the cultural norm for Paris at the time.

If the above issues will bother you, spend your money elsewhere.

But if you enjoy '50s and '60s nude pinups, you will love this, keeping in mind the factors I mention above. The girls are all attractive and nude, and many of them are stunningly beautiful. I have a few other collections of nudes from this era, and many of these photos are up there with anything else I own. The difference is the step down in presentation. But you know yourself best. If you like nudes from this era, have the money to spend, and won't be disappointed that it's not on the greatest paper, do yourself a favor and buy this now.

A word of warning about the cover. The woman pictured is better than 90% of the other women inside.

Now, about the women inside of the book, they are not bad. Many of the women have had children. The strech marks are not totally obvious but one can see them. Another item, about 95% of the women's pictures have public hair. Indeed, this is thick hair and the pictures were taken long before modern bathing suits were invented or it became the fashion to shave. This review likes the old way women looked.

There are over 100 pictures of nude French women. 10% of the women are very attractive. But most of the women are a reflection of their times. Some of the women are obviously prostitutes in their thirties. It makes one wonder on how many worked during the 1940s.

There are two reason reasons why stars were taken off the review. First, several of the better pictures are ruined by a middle of the page break. Another reason for the loss of a star is the quality of the paper. The paper resembles text book material, not glossy pictures. The photographs were done in black an white and were very detailed. The poor paper transfer takes some of the detail away. That is really a pity. Another reason for the lack of a star is there is no background on the subjects nor the magazines of France of that period. All we know is there were magazines with nude French women and that's it. I would have really enjoyed reading some background on the subject. That's why I bought the book (and to look at the women)

When you've seen one hairy French chick, you've seen them all.Unless they are shot in sexy poses. This didn't make it. Only 2 good pics in the entire book. I love vintage porn, but I say save your money on this one
