"Park Ranger Park is fast-paced, with fully-realized characters coming at us from every direction... There's a lot of character-driven humor here which doesn't detract from the fact that Park is fighting for very deadly stakes. Park Ranger Park is a book - and a character - that you will enjoy." - The Thunder Child

"I just loved this book! Mr. Kiesche typically writes stories that don't neatly fit into just one genre. This is a mix of scifi, mystery, romance, adventure, and comedy all rolled up into one rollicking ride..." - Amazon(Verified Purchase) Review
From the Author
I love the outdoors, hiking, creating, and the pure magic of fantasy fiction. However, without the help of a great many people this novel would never been imagined, written, or published. Your support and encouragement continues to give me the strength to express, create, dream, and put things out to the World. Thanks to all who have read material of mine in the past, reviewed material, purchased material, or have gone to see shows I've written.

But Park has more pressing problems. He has been transported into another world where magic reigns, and he has gotten on the wrong side of a wizard that will stop at nothing to destroy him. But nothing will stop Park from fulfilling his goal to find the missing women and bring them back – not golems, trolls, deadly shape-shifters, mischievous pixies, let alone the human denizens of this strange new world.
Author Tom Kiesche has crafted a fast-paced fantasy adventure with a likeable and even admirable hero, caught in a world that is vividly brought to life. His unique writing style draws the reader in by the throat and doesn’t let go of their attention until the final page.
I really enjoyed Park Ranger Park – the many laugh-out-loud moments are character-driven and don’t detract from the mystery and suspense of the story itself. There’s also plenty of moments that had me in tears – that’s the mark of a good writer!
Park Ranger Park needs a sequel, I hope Mr. Kiesche has one in the works!
Tim Park is a Park Ranger (obviously) in a National Forest who gets involved in investigating a series of disappearances of young women who had been hiking. When one of these women is his ex-girlfriend, he becomes a suspect in the crimes with the FBI. This is where things change up, though, as Park is transported to a different world with an angry wizard where he must do battle with creatures that are not human so that he can rescue the missing women. Or not.
Tom Kiesche gives you every detail that he can with his writing. You know everything that is happening and there is no guessing. This gives you an almost movie-quality while reading, you will picture every character and scene as you go. The plot twists were abundant which kept it refreshing and I was never bored while reading. And if you don’t laugh at the humor, you’re lame!
Be aware, this is not “Harry Potter” but a more adult version of magic and magical worlds. Think more along the lines of “The Magicians”. I’d say it is more of an older teenager-adult book, just a heads up!
I would highly recommend this book to anyone that likes fantasy worlds with a modern twist. And anyone that just loves a damn good book!
