The Park & Sun Sports Tournament Flex 1000 portable outdoor volleyball net system includes everything needed for a fun and competitive playing experience. It offers exceptional recreational performance for outdoor tournaments, friendly gatherings at the park or even your backyard lawn. This volleyball net system is designed with premium, telescopic aluminum poles that measure 1-3/4" in diameter. These 2-piece poles feature a push-button locking system, allowing you to easily adjust the net to men's (8'), women's (7' 4") and co-ed (7' 8") playing heights. The Park & Sun Sports Tournament Flex 1000 volleyball net system features our regulation size Spectrum net, which measures 32' L x 3' H. This nylon blend net has 2" top and bottom tapes with reinforced corners, and is equipped with convenient side sleeves, which distributes the net tension evenly from the top to the bottom of the net. Nylon blend netting is superior at withstanding harsh weather compared to lower-end polyethylene (PE) nets, so you can enjoy the game for years to come. The 1/4" double guyline with tension rings allow for quick adjustments that ensure the net remains taut, even during rough play. For added stability, (4) 10" zinc-plated forged steel ground stakes that resist rusting are also included. Define your court with the 1/4" diameter, pre-measured boundary (60' L x 30' W) which is firmly secured to the ground with corner anchors. When not in use, the cord winder keeps everything wrapped up without tangles. This comprehensive net system is furnished with an 18 panel, machine-stitched Soft Touch volleyball with a nylon-wound bladder. The soft and durable synthetic material of the cover lessens the impact to the wrists and arms when you hit it. A compact hand pump with 2 inflation needles are also included to get you outside and playing without delay. This entire set fits inside a heavy-duty polyester zippered equipment bag with carrying handles; making transporting and storing extremely convenient.

I struggled with keeping the net tight as it wants to droop in the middle a little. There were two reasons for this:
1. It cracks me up that is tells you to tie a bola knot, which even some boy scouts struggle with from time to time. But I think once I get the knots right, that will allow hopefully for a tighter net.
2. The "adjustment rings" on the pole ropes kept "sliding" as the nylon ropes did not generate enough friction to hold the tension. I have them set per the instructions. I will experiment with them to see if I can get them to hold the needed tension for a tight net.
If the price was just a little higher, I would have only given 3 stars, but it deserves 4 at this price point, just know you will have some challenges with the net tension.
Setup ( 3 out of 5 stars )
I thought that the process for setting up the net was extremely easy. You basically just take the poles out bag, slide the net onto the poles, attach the net top line ( I think it's a nylon rope ) to each pole, setup the guylines and tighten the net with the guylines very snazzy quick adjustment system.
I thought getting the net tight enough was a little weird because you have to keep the top and bottom tape even otherwise you'll way over tighten the top (or bottom) and the other side would be loose yet. But once you get it right, it works pretty well. Not a complaint just a heads up.
I knocked 1 star off because one of my poles was missing the ground cover so the pole kept sinking into the ground. I had to place a block of wood underneath the pole to keep it from sinking.
I also knocked another star off because the boundary lines were WAY OFF. Volleyball courts are 30' x 60' and the boundary lines weren't even square and weren't even close. They came measured in at around 35' x 66' (it wasn't square). I had to spend an extra 30 minutes with a tape measure adjusting the lines. I don't know if they intentionally send the lines long and expect you to adjust them yourselves but it's rather annoying.
Quality ( 4.5 out of 5 stars)
The quality of the Net and Pole systems are top notch. The only thing I would have liked to see was a steel cable ran through the top of the net rather than the nylon rope that will likely stretch out over time. If they just removed the crappy volleyball with a steel cable that would be awesome.
Performance ( 3.5 out of 5 stars )
Overall the performance was about as expected with a portable net system.
Spiking was fine on the net. Spikes that went into the tape would usually go over the net rather than stopping, but they were slowed down a good bit. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I think if you went to your local hardware store and just replaced the nylon cable with a steel cable it would probably resolve this problem and only cost you another $20(ish).
Playing off the net was actually much better than expected. You could get the net tight enough that we had a couple plays off the net. It's not going to bounce super far off the net but the bottom definitely stayed in place and didn't just get pushed out of the way so that was extremely nice!
Players hitting the net and/or pulling on it didn't really seem to cause any issues. It just snapped right back into place and we didn't need to tighten it back up afterwords.
Overall ( 3.5-4 out of 5 stars )
I think it's a pretty nice net system and at a reasonable price. My only suggestions would be to:
1. Remove the volleyball from the "set"
2. Replace the Nylon cable with a Steel cable
3. Actually measure the boundary lines. (Or potentially even use the 2" webbing boundary lines)
I would be willing to pay another $50-75 possibly more if they did those 3 things.
We unpacked the box and inspected everything. I was pleased with the quality of the telescoping aluminum poles. They should hold-up much better than cheaper sets with steel poles. It definitely appears to be a better quality set then most you see at a backyard party. We blew up the volleyball provided only to find it has a leaky valve, and cannot be used at all. So that was a disappointment. I really didn't want to run out and but a second ball, but we did. About 1 hour before a weekend picnic, we started setting up the net, boundaries, etc. It was quickly apparent that the instructions provided are not very detailed and thorough. They are just high-level steps, with minimal images to support each step. We struggled with figuring out how to attach the support guy lines so that the poles would remain straight, and the net snug. The guy line hoops would simply not stay tight as the nylon rope is both too flexible and slippery. I have read from others that this system does require a "break-in" period, but that shouldn't be the case. In the end, we got it up, albeit with a big of slack in the net, and made the best of it for the picnic. However, I am not pleased with the result, and I am now planning on replacing the nylon guy-line system with a more durable, 1" wide, ratchet-down type system. That will run me about $30 more, but I think I'll be more happy with the end-results.
Overall I'm happy with the net itself and the poles. The ball is useless, as it leaks. The nylon ropes for the guy lines and boundary lines are very cheap. I will likely need to replace the guy line system with something that can actually hold the net tension. So in the end, I spent $176 for the set, and needed to spend $20 on a new ball. I will spend about $35 for a new set of ratchet-down type guy lines. For these reasons, I can only give this 3 stars.
