Editorial Reviews

2009 release from Hollywood Hip Hop duo Redfoo and Sky Blu (AKA LMFAO). This uncle and nephew Dance music duo stormed the club scene and airplay charts in 2008 with the track "I'm in Miami Bitch," an old-school-style Electro/Rap song detailing debauchery at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. Party Rock (also the name of Red Foo and Sky Blu's vintage-inspired clothing line) keeps the non-stop celebration rolling with more tracks about drinking, dancing, and girls, and more of all three. From the stomping beat and reverse psychology pickup lines of "I Am Not a Whore" to the classic Hip Hop bravado and `90s synth string patches of "Yes," Party Rock comes exactly as advertised. Features the hits 'I'm In Miami Bitch' and 'La La'.

Love this album. Sure, the lyrics are shallow and (for some people) offensive, but the tracks are fun and upbeat. I doubt you'll listen to it in 10 years, but it's definitely something you'll reflect back on, when one of these guys is on some reality TV show or something, and think, "That was fun time!"

It's not breaking any new ground in pop, electronic, or dance music, but it does what it does very well! If you like the singles, you'll get more of the same on the album.

I was hesitant about buying this thinking it may be silly to listen to but this is my new "go to" cd for when I need to rock out! I love having it in the car especially because it makes an otherwise boring drive fun. I've definitely been caught dancing by myself on the road.

It's fun when you're in the mood for it, but if you're not in the mood for it you'll just let it sit on your shelf and collect dust. No true artistry to LMFAO, but at least they can be a crazy good time when you want to be possessed as such!

I read some reviews of this album that were negative and I gotta say: if your uptight, why you buyin music that you ain't even researched( that's just wasteful!). I LOVE this record, it's all about having a good time and positive vibin. I can jam on it, my friends and roomates jam on it, and my gf jams on it! If you love to party and want some fun music to dance to, your looking at THE album. Thats not to say there is nothing to the music, I am a well known music nazi and am comfortable walking away from a party with wack tracks, but this album really rides a fun and fresh new 80'd out party vibe that will keep you entertained with the fun and funny hip-hop party genre oriented lyrics, and dancing to the deceptively skillful beats.

With the exception of a few songs this album pretty much sucked. Clearly thirty something is not a target demographic. It is frathouse poser music that in a lot of instances I found to be surprisingly and unnecessarily vulgar without much real entertainment value at all. I bought SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKIN at the same time. I know its a satirical title but its befitting none the less. They really should apologize for that obvious desperate attempt they made to shock & awe with Party Rock. I found most of the lyrical tracks on Party Rock offensive and unimaginative and the recycled beats did nothing to make up for what was lacking. I didn't expect genius or a master piece but I expected to atleast be able to bob my head and be comically entertained. This album (except for a few tracks) is indeed a JOKE but its not funny. Jokes on me I guess for the expectations I must've had. On the upside the sophomore album was less disappointing. I enjoyed SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKIN a heck of a lot more. It achieved what i actually expected from the Party Rock album. Then again maybe I just lowered my expectations....

Let's just get this over with. This album is yet another near-perfect snapshot of everything that is wrong with the music industry (and society in general) nowadays. It is truly sad that corporate-produced, disposable excrement like this is what people like to call "music" nowadays. Lyrics about partying hard, grabbing women inappropriately, doing drugs, having sex.... *SHUDDER* Make it stop!

I honestly do not see the appeal of this vile, disgusting, gross and despicable pile of disposable sewage that people like to call "music." It is highly offensive, and how anyone can take this stuff seriously is beyond me. Not only that, but it can never go down in history as a classic. Honestly, why do people still listen to and talk about Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, John Coltrane, The Temptations, Run-DMC, Peter Gabriel, Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, Elvis Costello, Beethoven or Wagner in reverential tones, even today? Because they all stand as relevant musical innovators of originality in music history across multiple genres. Can the same ever be said of these two losers? Hardly. They are pieces of trash and a waste of time, space and life in general, and this album proves it.

If I could give this negative 10 stars, I would.

I like the beats. These lyrics leave something to be desired. I like all of the songs that were made into videos. It is almost worth the $5 I paid.
