Passage to Cuba was also very educational. The setting of the story mostly takes place in Cuba. I have never been, but the book depicted an image and understanding of the geography, culture, and history, almost as if I had experienced it first-hand. The author has obviously spent some time there. Previously not on my radar, I am now interested in going to Cuba.
The book has all the ingredients to satisfy the mystery novel reader – intriguing plot, frustrated romance, interesting locale, conflict and resolution, and even a subtle educational message.
Penelle hooked me with her Passage to Cuba and I will most likely read the other Lana Victoria Bell adventure novels.
