Wow - this book was not at all what I was expecting and threw so many curve balls at me that I could not stop reading.
I had a feeling right from the beginning of the series that there was so much more to Francesca than what we saw due to her attitude and reluctance to let anyone other than Fabian get close to her. As we learned about her past things made sense and with Fabian's interference we saw another side of her which was so different. My heart just opened up to her the more I learned but with the twists I must admit I was definitely shocked at some of the things she did - especially the one thing!
Lucas was an empath who really cared for Francesca up until a certain point which I could completely support. After that his hatred of her was hard to take although I knew why yet he denied how he felt as he was so torn with all of the events. He struggled with moving past the events yet he still wanted to protect her from everything.
I loved Fabian's confession about why he turned Francesca and the guilt he felt. He has changed so much since the first book and I love how he took responsibility for everything.
I was so intrigued at the end of the book with the look at the new series that is coming with the vampires from Italy!!
