Janice Raymond is the author of Women as Wombs and The Transexual Empire, and co-author of RU486: Misconceptions, Myths and Morals. She is also a contributor to Radically Speaking: Feminism Reclaimed. A leading thinker in feminist ethics, and professor emerita at the University of Massachusetts. From 1994 to 2007, she served as the co-executive director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW), a non-governmental organization in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Her book Not a Choice, Not a Job was published in 2015.,

This book has been one of the most important in my education related to feminist theory and philosophy. I highly recommend it for students, and for all scholars interested in feminist scholarship. One of the most important ideas that Raymond addresses is the "Cultural noise pollution" that women are their own worst enemies. If you have been bothered by this message, or even if you have believed it, this book is a must-read. Raymond's analysis, and the historical facts that she cites as evidence, demonstrates that in fact, women are our own most important supporters, and that our friendship and support for one another is the grounding for personal and political empowerment.

Drivel, badly written ambiguous, nebulous and unclear. It cost me £0.01 and I feel I was ripped-off, one of the worst books I have ever read. To be honest I couldn't get through it, it was so boring. anyway I'm off to watch some paint dry....
