Safe Ingredients, No Irritation, and Affordable!
After looking and researching for a safe lubricant I came across this one. Most importantly the lube is water-based which is great both for body and to be used with toys and condom. The body is thick enough but not too much that dries out. I checked all the ingredients on EWG site where it provides a wealth of information about ingredients for possible toxicity, carcinogenic, etc. effects. The good news is that almost all the ingredients are very safe to use. The only two ingredients with some note about them are the Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate. These two ingredients are preservatives used in food, supplements, and natural lubrication products. They both have anti-microbial properties which stop the growth and spread of harmful bacteria and molds. The concentration amount in a low dosage of them should be safe but the high dosage is not safe. The only apparent side effect of these two ingredients can be an irritation. In our case using it both vaginally and anally, the lube didn't irritate at all. If you are super health conscious you can always research these two ingredients more to decide for your self. We have tried some other lubricants without these two and they irritated when used anally but not vaginally. Most other brands with very similar if not identical ingredients that are advertised as all natural products come in very small sizes and are super expensive per ounce in comparison to this one. I like that it is made in U.S.A and have a long shelf life of about 3 years (mine has the expiration date of 12/20) which probably is due to having the same two ingredients that I mentioned above. Given that this lube doesn't have any harsh chemicals in comparison with other lubes and its affordable price per ounce it became our favorite lube for the time being until we find an all organic lube that doesn't irritate and is as cheap as this one which means it can take a quite while to find such lube but we are comfortable with using this for the time being and in case that we couldn't find anything better.
