Unlike other books with romantic suspense themes, His Passion, Her Temptation doesn't have an obvious villain -- you really aren't sure until the end what's going on. In scene after scene you wonder -- is it the brother? The lawyer he's dating? Ben's dad? Monica's dad? And the romantic storyline has an edge to it, as the seemingly mellow, friendly Ben has a darker streak inside him when it comes to passion in the bedroom. Monica is a willing participant in new bedroom kinks as her relationship causes her to grow.
This is a tight novel with good pacing and an interesting romantic suspense novel in this series.
*Book source ~ Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review.
When Monica Granger meets a handsome entertaining sexy man at a party she has no idea that he is the son of her father's biggest competitor and fiercest enemy. The sexual attraction between the two are off the charts, but more than that they really like each other. After Monica's father accuses her of helping Coron Health with a hostile takeover Monica is angry and hurt. She doesn't want to be forced to choose between Ben and family and Ben doesn't want to come between her and those she loves, but with the espionage escalating someone needs to get to the source of the trouble or they may never have a chance at a happily ever after.
Monica's story starts at the beginning when she meets Ben and takes us through the first 3 books, all told from her perspective and shows us her relationship with Ben and carries on to the conclusion of the espionage plot. I didn't feel Ben and Monica's relationship like I did Jonah and Anna's. It was more along the lines of Marcus and Tabitha's, instalove without more substance to back it up. The story is still a good one and it brings all of the lines together from a different viewpoint, so it's interesting. The sex scenes are smokin', but then I don't think Malia Mallory could write a bad sex scene even if she tried. All-in-all a satisfying ending to a great series.
Ben and Monica meet at a mutual friend's party and hit it off right from the bat. They get to know one another and find out that their families have a sort of...history. I history that is forever scarred into the minds of Monica and her family. But can history just be left at that? In the past and forgotten so that all may live in the present and actually enjoy life and all if has to offer?
Even though this is a part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. But there are a few things it might ruin for the reader if they decide to go back and read the others in the series (just some FYI) :)
3.5 rounded to 4 rating.

I really enjoyed this story about the feuding companies. It really impacted the two lovers and the rest of the family. Love should never be like that.Published 15 months ago by happy

This is a great series about a family and their quest to fall in love. You really make connections with all the characters and by the end, you really hate that the story is ending.Published on April 14, 2014 by T. Gager
good story line but something is missing- book felt a bit rushed.
the story line is on point but if this w a s longer... fantastic.
I would consider these books as erotica, which is obvious. But even more than that, I don't think I have ever read a more prim and proper form of erotica... Read more
It isn't the best written book out there, but it isn't the worst either. I like that Monica is trying to find her niche at her family's company and does her best to be heard. Read morePublished on October 19, 2013 by Rosanita
