This book blew me away. I easily became immersed in this parallel supernatural world with all sorts of paranormal creatures in hiding. This story was mostly about witches but there were dashes of other mystical beings and plenty of magic, itself.
It's almost time for Summer to marry the man her parents have chosen for her. The pairing is a result of duty to carrying on their witch bloodline and not one of love. In fact, Summer can't stand the fact that she is about to be bound to a man she doesn't like, who will strip her of her fierce independence.
But when Summer comes across Kian, a human, her world begins to shift. A visit from a goddess sets in motion a drastic change of destiny for both Summer and Kian as they discover their true place in the world and with each other. As our couple realize the truth of their connection, ruthless villains threaten their whirlwind romance and the future of the supernatural world hangs in the balance.
I'm not even sure where to begin. I loved everything about this story. The characters were so real that I could almost reach out and touch them. Summer's struggle to convince herself that she couldn't stray from her predetermined fate was just as fulfilling to witness as Kian's battle within himself to overcome his demons and realize his true purpose in life.
Every word added to the story and I rarely find myself as glued to a digital page as I did with this book. There is a little history of the supernatural, a lot of vivid imagery as we learn how magic is woven into nature, and a whole lot of passionate romance to liven up the story. It was steadily paced and filled with magical elements, along with a fantastic pairing in Summer and Kian. Their chemistry was scorching hot and entirely what I was hoping for.
I will be impatiently tapping my foot as I wait for the next book to be released. I need to know what happens with Winter and the new direction that the paranormal creatures are headed in. Five amazing suns!

What she never expected was that she’d run into a human, trespassing on her family’s land. Kian Lancaster is a complex, intriguing man, but Summer wants nothing to do with him, and she’s perplexed as to why the Goddess, whose will all witches must follow, orders her to welcome him.
The attraction between Kian and Summer is out of the roof, and the Goddess wants them to be together. But will Summer risk her family’s wrath, just to taste love?
This was a sizzling read about two people meant to be together but kept apart by circumstances. Kian was amazing, and I loved him from the start. It took me a little longer to warm up to Summer.
The writing was phenomenal, and really pulled me into the story. Fast-paced, hot romance, intriguing characters, what more can you want? I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is a fast paced hot story for sure if Summer will go for love instead of tradition. A very fun read indeed. Highly recommend this to warm you up on those cold winter nights for some quick passion with a great story line to go with it.
