I liked Matt, I liked that he knows what he wants, but with Erin working so hard to keep him at arms length, he really has no idea how to get it. I like that he's willing to keep trying over and over even when he gets pushed away every time. What a great gentleman.
This is a cute, clean romance that you will love! And I can't wait for more!
Erin was the mastermind behind the pact. She's a struggling actress, and has an awesome best friend Matt. He wishes they were more than friends. Then, of course, from stage right, enter Brennen Avery, Broadway sensation, and Erin's new costar. He's everything that Erin's ever imagined, but how will that effect her relationship with Matt?
I loved this book! Erin is a little spontaneous and flighty, but she has a good heart. I felt really invested in the characters, and the plot descriptions had me imagining myself there. I wanted to see Erin's play!
I'm not sure what the order of the series is. I read The Resilient One first (and loved it as well). It seems like the books can be read in any order.
Content: clean (some kissing, no violence, no language)
The first of the girls to marry was Nikki and all twelve girls were at her wedding. Erin Parker was there but she had to return to New York City early the next morning for an audition. Erin was determined to become a Broadway actress. One of these days, she would make it. She just had to get there. She missed the audition after Nikki’s wedding; but got the part of Charlotte in a play based on the life of Charlotte Bronte. She was thrilled.
Matt and his brother Corben ran a glass blowing company that was started by their father. They blew beautiful things; but glass blowing wasn’t very profitable at this time. Matt was also friends with Erin. He wanted more; but was unselfish enough to want what was best for her. How will he react when Erin moves to New York? Was she just using him?
The book is very good and very stressful at times. Who knows what love really is until it hits you.
When handsome, talented and, yes, rich Brennan Avery becomes her co-star in a play destined for Broadway, it appears that all of Erin’s dreams might come true. But the cost might be her best friend, Matt Walters. Now Erin has to determine if that is too steep a price to pay.
This was a cute, fun, relaxing read. Erin is such a good person. She is kind and always willing to help. Unfortunately, her efforts to help don’t always turn out the way she thinks. In those cases, and any other, she can always turn to Matt. He is amazing! He loves Erin so completely, and she just continues to friend zone him. Poor guy! I really felt for him, especially when Brennan entered Erin’s life.
I loved the book! I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. I didn’t want to stop reading and finished the book in a day. I’m really looking forward to reading the other books in the series! (I just wish I could hear a rendition of the camp song!)
I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
