I grew up watching TV in the 50s and somehow I'd never heard of this series, which surprises me, since it starred Cesar Romero, one of my mother's favorites...and she, after all, controlled the TV in those days! The stories are fun and the many character actors are delightful, though the budget must have been $1.95 per episode. I'm only sorry there aren't more. (Incidentally, the reason I bought it was a now-forgotten child actor named David Kasday, who was in INVITATION TO THE DANCE, a Gene Kelly film. In the episode he's in here, he plays a shoeshine boy and he's delightful. Where is he now?

I am prejudiced because I have adored Cesar Romero since I was little. Just check him out in the Shirley Temple movie
"Wee Willie Winkie" - a hunk of burnin' love! The series is very dated, in black and white and its fun. Not compelling the
way "The Saint" but on a par with Charlie Chan in terms of quality and depth (!) - but for me its worth it to watch the great
Romero.

Not as good as Peter Gunn, but good for a rainy day. Picture and sound quality was better than I expected.
