I have wide feet (size 8D) and had to wear them a really long time before they stretched out enough not to hurt. I actually took them to be professionally stretched by a cobbler before my conference, because they really pinched. There's a point on the top outer part of the shoe where the seams come together that kind of hurt near the pinky toe. If you have narrow feet, might not be such a problem. But now I like them a lot, they go with a lot of outfits because of the color. The plastic (?) toe part does start to scuff. Overall, I love their appearance and versatility. I feel they should be priced closer to $30, though.
On a positive side, my purchase experience was great. The initial delivery was quick. And, I was able to return the shoes (unworn, obviously) without any problem and got a full refund quickly.
They are really comfortable. Somewhat wider than a lot of other flats - so at the end of the day they still fit without digging in at the sides.
I find they need some breaking in but once you have gotten through that you will never want to take them off.
The footbed is one of the reasons why I love these shoes rather than just like them - you can walk around all day long when you are travelling and your feet will still feel fine.
My first pair lasted me four years and I still wear them for not-so-fancy occasions.
If you have an older pair of the sable brown shoes, though, bear in mind that the colour has changed somewhat and has less of a grey tinge in the brown as it used to have. That said, it is still a beautiful colour!
They do come up a LITTLE bit high on the toes (like "grandma shoes"), which isn't quite the look that's in fashion these days, but it's not horrible.
My one criticism of this shoe is that the first few times I wore them, the black dye bled all over my feet, resulting in black feet for days. Not the cute summer look I was hoping for! I recommend wearing with socks/liners for the first few times.
