Format: Paperback
This was the book that got me started on patchwork; I've since taken it up bigtime and have accumulated various colour books (all the photos/ illustrations here are b/w) but this is the one I return to time and time again. It's BRILLIANT and tells you EVERYTHING, including the history of the craft and enough geometry to be able to make your own octagons, hexagons etc with a pair of compasses and a bit of cardboard.
