Nothing more than an abridged copy of the MPEP (Manual of Patent Examining Procedures)
February 13, 2018
I deal with patent-related work on a regular basis and bought this book in the hopes that it'd help me with my work. Unfortunately, the book is pretty much an abridged copy of the MPEP (Manual of Patent Examining Procedures), which is published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, is what you need in order to pass the patent bar exam (i.e., the patent bar exam is based on how well you can search the MPEP), and the MPEP points you to the legal bases (i.e., case law) that patent examining procedures are based on. Having looked at the MPEP so many times, I can say for certain that much of the content, vernacular, and "analysis" is pretty much copied from the MPEP.
I would've given it one star, but because it's a decent summary of the MPEP, I gave it one extra star.
Save yourself the money and use the MPEP instead.
