If you admire alpha male characters and strong, quick witted, sharp tongued females, then you will enjoy the characters in this book as they bring bad guys to justice.
I could give you the Readers Digest condensed version of this book but I don’t want to spoil it for you.
I will just paraphrase what a 45 year old woman told me as a young 13 year old boy, “Try it, you will like it”. I did, and I did. Read the book, you will like it.
I will be buying the other books in this series, a big thank you to the author for getting me hooked with the free first book!
There are too many discrepancies. How can people who's lives depend on their level of fitness and stamina smoke like chimneys and drink (alcohol) like fish? The sex is glossed over while the violence is described in detail. Why do we as a society find excitement in a gun shot or knife stabbing yet cower from the sight of a butt or female breast?
I won't be looking for the other books in this series.
I love that there is just as much ass-kicking and blowing things up as there is romance. It's a great blend centering around a woman who I would totally look up to if she were my friend. Definitely recommend!
Sarah was a very different kind of heroine. You either loved her or hated her. She reminded me of the character who is usually the brother or best friend of the hero. He is usually handsome, an outrageous flirt, heavy drinker, inappropriate, a joker, egotistical and promiscuous. Sarah was all of those things in a female body. She was not a sympathetic character but an interesting one. Was this book written in the sixties? I can't believe that so many fitness conscious people would be chain smokers. I would read about this team again.

Create a highly trained, skilled, intelligent female operative and give her ALL the awesome kickass skills...then send her off to be a whore for you instead. Because that's her sum value. No thanks.
There are no mistakes neither in spelling nor in grammar (I won't guarantee there are NO mistakes, but none that hit me straight. Maybe i was just distracted) and there are no sudden surprises in the layout - what can you expect more?
Keeping those previous reviews in mind I was expecting to dislike this book from the start. Instead I was thoroughly gripped. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next. Please consider giving this series a try and you might just get a pleasant surprise.
