Zac's one of those guys you want to love on, but he's mysterious and secretive - but he has to be! There's a reason behind it all. And let's face it, I related to Ella in every way, but the rich, living in a mansion in London with money to blow like crazy! She's a girl who knows what she wants, but sometimes has trouble stating so. But saying things as vulgar and as rude as a sailer wasn't one of her issues. Together, they make a couple to die for, but for the secret Zac carries.
The Path Keeper is about fate, love and asks the question: if you could change the course of another's life, for true love, should You?. I truly believe Simmonds is on to something and this book is going to be a hit, here and abroad! Check out The Path Keeper, releasing on February 23rd!

The back story of each characters was well written. With every turn of page you'll find something new & fresh. Every turn of events was unpredictable & it kept me wondering what happens next. It was such an interesting story with some funny conversation thrown in here & there. It grabs your attention as soon as Ella gets down from the bus till the very end & now I'm left with wanting more....
I just finished reading this YA Fantasy book last night and my head is still reeling with the ending! So many twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. I will say that toward the end, it felt like a little too much. I loved the backstories most of all, as I really had a hard time liking Ella. In fact, it was hard for me to see what Zac loved so much about her. She was whiny and spoiled most of the time.
There was a ton of language and sex in this, so I won't be handing it over to my teenager.
I especially loved the addition of past lives and how the writing was different in those parts. Signaling a different era and language use, very skillfully done.
If you excuse me I'm going to find my own Zac now.
