I haven't tried many of these practices on my own yet, but the introductions and instructions make it easy to do so. The worksheets are well designed to help keep records and develop the process. I also like the quotations from a wide range of philosophical, theological, and scientific sources - they add a sense of the depth, authority and history behind these practices without burdening the text with philosophy or theology. If that is what you want, you can follow up on your own.
This seems to be a good source for getting a very practical introduction and overview of many of the healing arts that can be practiced, but it also serves as a "Manual for Certification" for someone who wants to teach or practice healing on a professional level. It is a very thorough and easy to use Manual for that purpose. The price seems a bit steep at first, but when I considered how much it covers, and that it is a Certification Manual, I think you might have to buy two or three books to get everything that is included here.
Bottom line: it's pricey, but easy to read, easy to use, a valuable introduction to the best practices in the healing arts - with the emphasis on "practice".
