I checked out a couple of U-tube videos on how to restring a vinyl strap chair. Following their suggestions I found a couple of important items not mentioned.
1. Get yourself a thin cloth pair of work gloves. You’ll need these because the vinyl will be hot to touch. You may need a few pair of gloves, because once they get wet, the heat transfer from the hot vinyl through the wet glove, is fast.
2. The chair must be fastened down to a solid work station. You’ll be pulling and stretching the hot vinyl and you don’t want the chair sliding all over the place.
