Editorial Reviews

Paul Krugman is an Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times. Mr. Krugman is the author or editor of 20 books and more than 200 papers in professional journals and edited volumes. His professional reputation rests largely on work in international trade and finance; he is one of the founders of the "new trade theory," a major rethinking of the theory of international trade.

Kindle blogs are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can read them even when you're not wirelessly connected. And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, blogs on Kindle give you full text content and images, and are updated wirelessly throughout the day.

The main reason for just two stars is that you get a sporadic paragraph here and there, with little in the way of detailed analysis of current economic issues. Krugman labels anyone who disagrees with him as a Crank or Loony, while doing very little to justify his primary premise that US Fiscal Policy has only to burst the dam of spending constraints in order to pull us out of this Depression. For a guy peddling a worn out Keynesian ideology, he certainly is full of himself. His ignorance of other points of view is quite staggering.

Perhaps Krug is too busy revising one of his books and writing his column for the big bucks, because the content of his blog is often thinner than a dime that's been on the railroad tracks. Half the time all you get is a link to somebody else's blog or column, and all too often the link is to a web site that requires registration for access, or that the Kindle Web browser can't handle, or the blog has a chart or graph that is unreadable on the Kindle, making this is a poor choice for Kindle delivery. So wait until Krug's book comes out (maybe the content will improve), or go read the blog on the Web if you're really interested in what other blogs Krug has been reading on a given day.

Krugman is the first read on my Kindle each evening. However, it's true that there are lots of refs to other blogs (which are slow on the kindle). More importantly, he references charts quite a lot, as one might expect, but the charts don't come through in the Kindle ed.

My first read each time I pick up my Kindle !! Krugman provides the backup material needed by everyone who wants an honest informed understanding of our economic and financial situation. He does a great job, when needed, of pointing out the flaws in the opinon pieces of many self-proclaimed pundits. When you want the unvarnished facts along with the story, read Krugman !! Now if we could please get his diagrams on the Kindle too !!  Paul Krugman: The Conscience of a Liberal by The New York Times Co.

This former Enron executive and now liberal writer consistently changes his views to fit current political goals. He has touted ObamaCare as "a must have" for our nation stating health care will improve and "be as good as [England's] NHS". He also agrees with the Obama administration that the health care cost curve will bend down. This has already been proven to be wrong (the CBO increased their estimate to over $1 trillion in 10 year costs with independent estimates now up to $3 trillion).

He might have been good at one time. Now his writings are nothing but liberal talking points.

Paul Krugman is a horrifying, liberal, hope&change Keynesian, who contradicts his own textbook if it's politically convenient. I would not waste my money on this crap. Why is he even charging for this content if his conscience is so pricked by income inequality? America needs to wake up to the fact that because of these liberals, we are ever inching toward socialism and communism that we defeated during the Cold War.
