All in all its a good pan, with good looks and seems durable. However because the handle is so curved, it puts a lot of strain on my wrist when pouring or filling. Torque from the weight of the filled pan overcomes my writs, and it would be easier to balance if the handle were straight. The second problem with this pan, is that it doesn't heat up as fast as I would expect for a copper bottom. My OLD RevereWare stainless steel sauce pan boils water faster than this one! I would not buy this Paula Deen one again. In addition, the interior is brushed stainless steel, but it looks like a rough brush, and seems darker than most other stainless steels.
Other than that, this cooks really well, and fast! I'm not sure it's due to the copper bottom, it might be due to a thinner material than the stainless saucepan I used to use.
My one concern is the rubber-coated handle-- how will this stand up to years of washing or just getting wet in the sink??? It's RUBBER! Also feels weird when wet, but then like normal rubber when dry.
If I want to be picky, I'd say the inside is not as smoothly-finished as my previous cookware, and scraping the noodles or meat of soup from the sides of this with a plastic spoon make a noise, because it's rough inside; not like the high-polished inside of my previous pan (another brand).
To the reviewer here who said this pan strained his wrist, I can see that, it's a BIT like that for me, too. In that case, get the Paula Deen sister to this model from Wal-Mart, also with a copper bottom (but not showing on the side or profile view). That pan is just a bit lower profile, and the handle is attached a bit lower, so it doesn't have this weighting or leverage problem (that would bother one's wrist), at all. And it's cheaper, it's about $23.00. It doesn't have the ring on the handle with which to hang it on a hook, however.
Overall, I do very much like this sauce pan, and have two of them.Read more ›
The handles do not conduct heat.
The lids are clear so one can see what is cooking.
They clean up well.

Great price, for my new favorite pan. Heats up perfectly, easy to clean, perfect for cooking stuff for our family of 3, but will be buying a bigger size for when we have company.Published on January 14, 2014 by A. Chaney
It is the perfect backup pot to have. Very well made. A heavier pot just the right size for sauces, veggies and warming milk for cooking.Published on January 10, 2014 by Hollie Parrott
Super quality and long wear plus the beauty of copper bottoms and accents !!
Paula Deen knows her stuff !!
It's the perfect size for me; I use it more than any other pot in the kitchen. It tends to stain on the inside but that is not really a problem to me.Published on November 13, 2013 by JoLawr
