My husband bought this just before Mother's Day and instructed the kids to make Mom whatever she wanted from the magazine. It was hard to choose from so many gorgeous desserts. I picked the German Chocolate Pie and it was close-your-eyes-and-sigh yummy!

This magazine is beautifully photographed and recipes range from slightly complicated (the cake on the cover) to very easy. There is also a section in the back that focuses on special chocolate experiences around the country, like Seredipity in New York.

I really enjoyed browsing through this book and look forward to making more of the delicious recipes. If you are a real chocaholic, you will love this magazine!

I love to cook, I love to bake and I love chocolate. Paula Deen feels the same way I do and she's managed to make an empire of her ability to spin food into gold.
I've tried 4 of the recipes so far and have been pleased with each and every one of them. There's more I would like to try, but there are only so many hours in a day and I still got to work full time:(
I will warn you, this is not the magazine to go for if you're watching yours (or somebody else's) weight. M's Deen doesn't shy away form using butter, sugar, eggs and whatever else it takes to make something incredibly good tasting and fattening. So if you're not into that time of food, keep away from this magazine.
Otherwise, go for it, you'll love it.

I bought this magazine hoping for some wonderful Paula Deen recipes and instead ended up with a big disappointment. I love her show and the fact that she isn't afraid to use full-fat ingredients but after making two of the recipes in this issue I have decided to place this magazine on the shelf...permanently. Both recipes were bland and dry. I consider my self (and from comments I have received, others do too) a good cook and a great baker so it was quite a let-down when I brought two desserts from this magazine and they ended up being less than good. I ended up making disclaimer notes for the two desserts so everyone would know I was only trialling new recipes and that they weren't something I made all the time. Overall, the desserts LOOK wonderful but when it comes to taste they are a lot worse than the box-mix brownies that someone else who was less adventurous brought to the party.
