The purchase gives you a Steam key. This means you have to install the Steam client and sign up for steam, and activate the game on Steam. The client has to be running while you play. Personally I use Steam so this is fine for me, but people should know about this restriction if they don't already.
The part that I find unacceptable is that you also have to sign up for and use Rockstar Social Club, which also has to be running all the time when you play the game. This dual level DRM is really unacceptable. The system has a limited number of installs and after that you will not be able to install the game. Some people have trouble running the game at all with this system, as the Rockstar account has to be permanently linked to the Steam account. When the Social Club website is down you won't be able to play the game at all. There also seems to be a third level of DRM called "GameShield IronWrap". I don't know what this is, and I'm not even sure I want to know.
People are going through and downvoting reviews like this about the DRM, but I'm not sure why. If you love the games then go ahead and give them good reviews, but it is also important for people to know about these restrictions. Maybe with pressure the game companies will behave less obnoxiously.
Go read a review or watch a trailer. But if you are reading here take my advice and purchase this game (if your computer can handle it which im sure it should since u are thinking of buying it in the first place) the graphics look amazing.
The story is type of a noir story in that he tries to narrate his moves as if he is a detective solving a case.
If you like video games and are a fan of 3rd person shooters this game should be in your library. It is a wonderful game, and would recommend.

I've only played L.A. Noire so far, but it is well worth the $9.99 I paid for it. Good or bad, i'll consider Max Payne a bonus.Published on May 5, 2014 by heavenzwrath

The missions feels like watching a movie lol.
I love the game play but I haven't finished the game yet.
Its going OK so far.
Mostly fun, if not a little slow and predictable. Great feature to have such a huge cast of well known actors doing voice characterization! I can immediately recognize the actors!Published on February 27, 2014 by John T. Zipple
