My 4.5 years old is a sore loser, when we play ladders and snakes he always tries to cheap to go up the tallest ladder and win.
With this game there are no real losers.
It's a team vs the ogres (cards) if you pick an ogre they advance, if you puck a path piece you and your team have to decide together where is the best place to put it to collect the keys and get to the treasure the fastest way.
My son hasn't tried to cheat yet and he didn't get upset if the ogres won!
Loved it. We just got it today so I don't know if this us going to be his go to game but will try to update later on.
Box says 5+ but 4.5 is just fine considering it's a team game.
Hope this helps
