This book doesn’t assume you’re a perfect parent or even trying to be, thank goodness. It does though offer some simple ways to be thoughtful about your approach to helping children through big and tough moments, and explains the research that backs it all up.
The concept of “story teaching” alone was a game-changer for me. (Mentioned at the beginning, then throughout the book).
As a follower of Sarah on IG for quite some time, this book has helped bring her principles full circle — you can tell she put her heart into this with a genuine desire to help parents be the best versions of themselves, while recognizing she is still figuring it out herself too.
It’s highly readable and something I’d recommend to any parent with growing children or or teens.
