- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2025Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseI recently purchased the Peak Design Leash Camera Strap in Sage Green for my smaller DSLR, and I’m beyond impressed! As someone who values both functionality and aesthetics, this strap checks all the boxes.
Comfort:
First off, the comfort level is outstanding. The strap is made from a soft yet durable webbing that feels great around my neck or shoulder, even during extended photo sessions. Unlike other straps I've tried, it doesn’t dig into my skin or feel cumbersome. It’s lightweight and breathable, making it perfect for long days of shooting.
Design & Quality:
The Sage Green color is a sleek, understated look that pairs beautifully with my camera, adding a bit of personality without being too flashy. The build quality is top-notch—everything from the stitching to the hardware feels solid and premium. The aluminum hardware is smooth to the touch, and the anchors provide a secure attachment without feeling bulky or intrusive.
Versatility:
What really stands out is the versatility of the Leash. The quick-adjust feature makes it so easy to change the length of the strap depending on whether I want to wear it around my neck or over my shoulder. The anchors are also incredibly easy to attach and detach, so I can swap between using this strap and a different one, or even pack it away in a bag when I don’t need it.
Security:
I also appreciate the security this strap provides. My camera feels well-supported, and the quick-release system gives me peace of mind knowing it’s securely attached when I’m out and about.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my Peak Design Leash Camera Strap. It's a well-thought-out design that combines comfort, functionality, and style in a way that few other straps can match. If you're looking for a premium, reliable strap for your system camera or smaller DSLR, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2025Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseThe best camera strap! Easy to adjust, light weight and makes the over all camera feel more compact.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2025Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseThis is a fantastic leash clips on well so very secure. I love how I can interchange it onto other cameras with other clips. The strap is strong good material great design one of the best I've ever had.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2025Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseI got this for my husband for his camera. He absolutely loves it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2023Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseI use Peak Design religiously for my amateur photography needs. I use 7 of their products on a regular basis and this Leash is number 8. Yes, they can be expensive. However, you’ll get excellent customer support, a lifetime warrantee on all their products, and it just works. I have experienced such consistent performance and quality from their products that I don’t bother reading reviews or looking at competitors anymore.
That being said, I had a problem with the previous camera strap I had purchased from PD.
It was just too wide and sometimes cumbersome to use on just a Nikon D7500 with a simple 50mm lens. I didn’t need the strength and support that the strap provided. If you have longer, heavier camera lenses you should look for a sturdier strap like that one.
Now that I’ve purchased and tested the Peak Design Leash I’ve determined it’s what I need.
I’m not a professional but I am passionate about quality. This product is convenient, conscientiously designed, low profile, light, and stylish. I am a fan of the shade of green used. All of my past complaints are solved with the Leash. I can easily snap a shot without having to finagle anything and I can almost forget that I have the camera around my neck due to the comfortable design.
The quick release anchors are secure and true to their name. Although not relevant to me now, if I do start using heavier lenses I can quickly swap straps with ease due to the compatibility of the quick release with both products.
I can’t speak to whether you could find a cheaper alternative. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could. However, if you want a camera strap that is light, low profile, that is guaranteed quality, stylish, and is thoughtfully designed then this is the strap for you.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2024Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseSo, I needed a strap for one of my two old film cameras. The great about this strap is is sturdy, looks great, the attachment system is cool and they send enough to use the same strap for two cameras.
The only bad things I have to say about it is the price does seem steep for what you get, and this particular strap is the smallest/thinnest they offer. It works great for me but might not be thick enough to comfortable with heavier cameras.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2024Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseI recently bought the PEAK DESIGN Leash, and it’s been the perfect for my compact camera and even for my Canon 5D markII. It’s compact, easy to pack, and doesn’t feel bulky at all. The quick-release system is super convenient, and even though it’s slim, it feels strong and reliable. Great for anyone who wants a minimal strap for daily use or travel!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2024Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseNot sure I'd want to lug around a full frame with this thin strap, but it's a perfect sling for an a6x00 with a 70-350mm, weighs nothing, and takes up minor space in my cramped bag. I use the Peak Design strap for lighter lenses or shorter sessions.

Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseWasn't a fan of Peak design earlier, thought they were over priced for what they offered. BUT NOW, I know you get what you pay for. Have a few of thier products and quality is great. The leash is no exception. Bought a second one after having one for years. First one looks like my new one that just came out of the box.

Consiglio vivamente

Style: Modern/FittedVerified PurchaseI have the Leash and Slide straps for all my cameras and they are typical PD products....well designed, beautifully made and do exactly as promised.
The strap on my new Habicht bino's was a jarring black leather so I bought the Sage Leash which compliments it nicely.
Cracking strap.
