Better than the other guys
Decent weight and size
New cheaper design
Not as heavy-duty as the older version BC900
Did not include the memory locks to set the height and forget it. I love these on my old hardware.
I thought the newer version would be better but I was completely wrong. I have a BC900 sitting in my house with a Sabian AA 20" ride on top. I wanted another Combo stand to hold up more cymbals. It is definitely cheaper quality. The poles are all significantly thinner and the leg braces are designed differently and thinner again. Find the old BC900s that are still left in the marketplace or get a used version.
I don't think this will break on you but it won't hold the same amount of weight as the older version. I am disappointed in Pearl! This seems like the "candy bar effect"! Make the same product cheaper so you have to upgrade to get what you used to get.
Shame on you Pearl!
Very solid stand, having the ability to fit the cymbal arm back inside the main pipe makes set up and break down a snap.
Only type of stand I would purchase.
