For many Americans, the attack at Pearl Harbor is the single event most often associated with World War II. But what actually happened 75 years ago, December 7, 1941? And what was the sequence of events that led Japan’s brutal aggression? The Associated Press commemorates the events at Pearl Harbor with this 75th anniversary special edition that intricately explores the historic relationship between Japan and the United States and details the beginning of America’s involvement in WWII.Featuring many rare and iconic photographs, as well as artifacts from the AP archives, “Pearl Harbor” is a tribute to the men and women who served in the Pacific Theater, and a salute to the bravery and courage epitomized on that historic day.

I didn't enjoy the book as much as I hoped. The many special mistakes in the Kindle version was a distraction. There is no excuse for this type of laziness. Save your money and buy the hard copy, with luck it has fewer special errors.

I found nothing new here. The narrative is littered with author’s opinions which makes it harder to see facts. Lots of photos of dead Japanese, but what about our side?

A terrific read, including lots of background leading up to the attack. Interesting views of issues between the army and navy, as well as attitude of senior officers regarding their own self importance.
