I'll give these 5 stars, they're better than my grey non-gel Pearl Izumis by virtue of the clever pad placement.
They fit well, are hard to take off and have good cushion on the gelled parts.
Fit well and were a nice improvement from my old ones.

I have worn PI for the last few years with outstanding results. I ride an average of 80-100 miles per week year round. This 2015 model does NOT have the same amount of gel as past generations. In other words LESS! After riding for a half hour numbness and tingling occur. I hope PI goes back to previous generations in design and put out a great glove again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO A FRIEND!

Padding is far less than the old ones I have, which were Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Pittards Gel style 8597, from Spring 2010. The old ones were still usable, but the right one got lost somewhere near Doheny State Beach. The new ones (Style 14141305) weigh 1.0 oz. each; the old ones 1.4 oz. Size is XL. I have long fingers. The circumference of my hand is a little over 8.5 inches. If you have meaty hands, you may want a larger size.

For perspective, I ride a recumbent Bacchetta Carbon Aero 2.0, with Superman style bars, so my hands are out in front of me, and I am not putting the amount of pressure on my hands that I did when I rode a diamond frame road bike. On the other hand, I am 65 years old, so the tissues in my hand are not as resilient as they are in a younger rider. In fact, I went to a recumbent specifically because my fingers were going numb on long rides. I am also relatively thin, 5’ 10” and 165 pounds. I would be thinner if group rides did not always stop at Starbucks or a bagel place.

On a 43 mile ride, I found them to be comfortable. I just switched from bar end to grip shifters, and found that the gloves provided a good grip, absorbed shock from bumps, cushioned vibration, and generally gave me a comfortable ride without hot spots or blisters. Easy to remove with the pull tab, and I was able to put them back on while riding. I have not tested them skidding on the pavement yet, and have no plans to do so.
I chose black and red, so that they are more visible when I stick my hand out to signal a turn. I rated them 5 stars because they are fine for me. However, I expect that most buyers are purchasing the gloves for use with a diamond frame, and I suspect that the padding is less than optimum for for someone spending 4 or more hours on road cycling bars, where the rider rests a lot of weight on their hands. Those riders should consider the P.R.O. Pittards Gel glove, with heavier padding.

The padding on the heel of the glove is pretty good, I wish there was more padding higher in the palm. I wouldn't buy these again just for that reason

Rode about 50 miles my first week with these gloves. Perfect amount of padding, and very comfortable. Breathe well and dry quickly. Note that the positioning of the gel pads is optimized for a road bike when riding on the "hoods", so if you are riding a bike with straight handlebars these might not be the best choice for you.

I have average sized hands and depending on a glove can range anywhere from M to L typically. I tried these on in a store before ordering and needed an XL and even then they comfortably snug. Best padding I could find when I was hunting. Look at Sierra Training as they have these for a great price currently.

These are nice gloves but not perfect. I was hoping the pads would help with the carpel tunnel issues I was having when riding but they did not. If you're a normal rider at average weight (I'm 290lbs) then you'll probably like these more than I do. Even tho the pads are not placed perfectly for everyone, my ride buddy has some and he likes his.

They seem to run a little small. I bought three pair (one each side of the size I expected to be) to make sure one would fit and it was the largest one that fit. Even though I'm 6-2, my hands are not exceptionally large since I no longer do much manual labor.

Anything by Pearl Izumi is fantastic. I used to work in bicycle shops and got great discounts on Pearlie stuff. I became an addict to this high-end brand. Pearl Izumi makes the best and you can't go wrong with them. The hard part is which item to choose. Though I am a lady, I always prefer the Men's mediums as they fit perfectly. (I have larger hands from years of piano and basketball.)

When we ride on the road on our roadbikes, over 1/3 of our weight goes through our arms and into our hands. So I wanted a glove that replaced my last pair of gel Pearies that finally fell apart after nearly ten years. These are better.

They have the gel and padding in all the right places and its as if I designed them for myself. They are breathable and lightweight and the open fingers make riding the road so much more comfy. There have been a couple of times where I've forgotten my gloves and paid dearly for it.

(I did NOT get paid by Pearl Izumi though I think I should have, lol. I sing their praises every day.)

I'll give these 5 stars, they're better than my grey non-gel Pearl Izumis by virtue of the clever pad placement. Probably the best bike gloves I own, they're excellent for long (100-plus-mile) rides. However you will immediately need to remove this giant (and I mean massive) tag from the inside of the glove that lists the fabric composition. Probably required by law to be there, but you'll start laughing as soon as you see it. And then you'll remove it.
