For perspective, I ride a recumbent Bacchetta Carbon Aero 2.0, with Superman style bars, so my hands are out in front of me, and I am not putting the amount of pressure on my hands that I did when I rode a diamond frame road bike. On the other hand, I am 65 years old, so the tissues in my hand are not as resilient as they are in a younger rider. In fact, I went to a recumbent specifically because my fingers were going numb on long rides. I am also relatively thin, 5’ 10” and 165 pounds. I would be thinner if group rides did not always stop at Starbucks or a bagel place.
On a 43 mile ride, I found them to be comfortable. I just switched from bar end to grip shifters, and found that the gloves provided a good grip, absorbed shock from bumps, cushioned vibration, and generally gave me a comfortable ride without hot spots or blisters. Easy to remove with the pull tab, and I was able to put them back on while riding. I have not tested them skidding on the pavement yet, and have no plans to do so.
I chose black and red, so that they are more visible when I stick my hand out to signal a turn. I rated them 5 stars because they are fine for me. However, I expect that most buyers are purchasing the gloves for use with a diamond frame, and I suspect that the padding is less than optimum for for someone spending 4 or more hours on road cycling bars, where the rider rests a lot of weight on their hands. Those riders should consider the P.R.O. Pittards Gel glove, with heavier padding.

They seem to run a little small. I bought three pair (one each side of the size I expected to be) to make sure one would fit and it was the largest one that fit. Even though I'm 6-2, my hands are not exceptionally large since I no longer do much manual labor.
When we ride on the road on our roadbikes, over 1/3 of our weight goes through our arms and into our hands. So I wanted a glove that replaced my last pair of gel Pearies that finally fell apart after nearly ten years. These are better.
They have the gel and padding in all the right places and its as if I designed them for myself. They are breathable and lightweight and the open fingers make riding the road so much more comfy. There have been a couple of times where I've forgotten my gloves and paid dearly for it.
(I did NOT get paid by Pearl Izumi though I think I should have, lol. I sing their praises every day.)
