I love this watch. I always wanted to try a smart watch but didn't want spend $400 to find out. This watch does everything I want and for a lot cheaper. I love that it is waterproof. I can wear it swimming and I can even control my music with the watch while I am in the pool. I am so happy I. bought this watch

Very user friendly, counts steps, heart rate, sleep, and has an alarm. Does everything I wanted, and more! Great!

Obviously with the demise of this company, what it will still be able to do in 6 months is yet to be seen. I was looking for a smart watch that would hold a charge more than a day and this watch fits the bill. I get a full 6 days out of it. It doesn't have a fancy display but I will say I never have time seeing the watch in the daylight, bright or dim. The backlight is adequate for low light. I wouldn't have been all that thrilled with this at the $150 new price point, but at $78, I can't say that I'm dissapointed with it. I only wish Pebble had continued to see where they could have gone. Good watch for the point if you are ok with this style watch. Heart rate monitor isn't perfect but works pretty good. Sleep monitor seems pretty accurate and is simply set it and forget it. If you are looking for an all day wear smart watch, this might fit your needs. Not fancy but good at what it does do and cheaper than a fitbit.

This thing rocks. Clear monochromatic e-ink display with a backlight so you can see it at night. A solid week of battery life each time. A huge and awesome selection of watchfaces and apps. The ability to swap out the band for whatever 22mm band you want. (I put a leather one on to replace the plastic one it comes with.) A very usable magnetic charging cable via USB. Strong, noticeable vibration when a notification comes in. Previous watches I've owned had a barely noticeable vibration. Was that my watch, or a gentle breeze? Not the Pebble.

The heart rate monitor is fine, and does it's job, but not enough stuff seems to take advantage of it. Running seems to track your distance based on steps, not GPS, even when you have your phone with you. I could never get some of the more popular running apps like Endomondo to even work. I suspect support for them has dropped due to Pebble going belly up recently, and I don't have high hopes that Fitbit will continue support, so much as absorb Pebble's tech into it's own... like the Borg.

All in all. I like my Pebble 2. I like it more than my Samsung Gear 2 Neo. I like it more than my Fitbit Blaze. It's a shame we won't see more Pebble devices in the future.

Still trying to find my ways around. It seems very good, looks great but has poor instructions.

Great, love it. The heart sensor is crap tho. My only other problem is that Fitbit bought Pebble out so it may not work as of 2018. But until then I'm loving it.
iPhone users beware: limited functionality and only certain cell cariors will allow you to text back

I am satisfied with the purchase but the one complaint I have is that the heart rate monitor gets a crazy high number during long runs. It seems to work well up to about 145 bpm and then if my real rate goes above that the heart rate falsely goes up to about 170 bpm. Also it's assumption on stride distance seems way off. I am about 5' 10" and I had to set my height to 4' 7" to get the estimated distances ran in the right ball park. Luckily I don't plan on using this function much.

So far I love this watch. I've had it for a little over a week now and am satisfied it. The smart alarm works surprisingly well, it will wake you up sometime in the half hour before you set it by vibrating when it detects you're in a lighter stage of your sleep cycle. The connectivity is great, that pebble app store seems pretty sparce at first, but the more you look, the deeper it goes. It's smaller than I was expecting, I've had bigger regular watches. I was pleasantly surprised at how low profile it is. It's still on the bigger side as compared to a 'normal' watch, but not big enough it catches on sleeve or things like that. Being able to customize each button for what a long press will do is nice. The screen is very clear even in direct sunlight with polarized sunglasses on, and at night if you can't remember which button is the back light, just tapping the screen will light it up (kudos to whoever programmed that). The menus are fairly intuitive and it's easy to turn off notifications for apps with a few button presses. the band feels like a standard sports band, but it works great. The sleep tracking seems like it's fairly accurate compared to the basis watch I had years ago.

At the end of the day, it's a durable, waterproof smart watch with a long battery life. That's really all I wanted. Everything else that came with is a bonus. I was looking for a way to change music without digging out my phone in the car, long battery life, notifications, and wasn't a brick. The pebble is all of these. Does it have the functionality of an apple or similar? Definitively not, but it has the basic controls, notifications and customization I was looking for.

Now the negatives. The heart rate monitor is crap. It works if you switch to the screen and hold still, but passively it's all over the place. while writing this I just checked it again, it jumped from 140 to 95 before settling down to about 85. Looking back through the app, on days I know I was pretty sedentary it showed my heart rate hitting mid 100s. I've used fitness trackers with HR monitoring, there's a certain tightness you have to wear the watch at, but for whatever reason this one seems to not provide consistent data.

Now the big one: fitbit bought pebble. There's not going to be much chance of warranty or replacement. The app store is only guaranteed until the end of 2017. They may or may not update anything after that. All that being said, I like this watch and will probably continue using it until it breaks or is no longer compatible with my phone. If they stop making apps, honestly that's fine with me, and it's opens source if you want to continue making your own. The heart hate is not worth it, the pebble time is probably the best watch they made overall if you want, but for $70, this a great choice for a connected watch.
