I want to warn those who wish to buy Stop 1 pair, 5, 6 or 10 packs that periodically since 2013 there are sellers on this page selling counterfeits. We think this happens because Stop is labelled Amazon’s “Best Selling” heel grips and this attracts the notice of counterfeiters. pedag USA has battled counterfeiters since late 2013. To get counterfeits removed we need to make test buys, report the trademark violation to Amazon, Amazon has to investigate and then they remove the counterfeit products. The most recent counterfeits from seller Blade’s Tools were first reported to us by two very helpful consumers. Last week we discovered another counterfeiter, Blondies, and within a week they were removed too. All the counterfeits have been poor quality, however Blondie’s counterfeits were not quite so bad. The leather looks more like our suede. BUT, the shape and padding was still all wrong.
Here are some ways to identify genuine Stop: Individual pairs of genuine Pedag Stop come in a zip lock bag with barcode, Pedag International Logo, picture of Stop in the heel of a shoe (see package picture among in product images). On the back there is a product description in 6 languages including English and Made in Germany. Genuine Stop is light gray suede with a visible nap. The padding is gently curved and raised to pad your heel.
The counterfeit products have been packed in a clear, generic polybags. The leather is off-white or gray in color. Sometimes the leather has visible pores which indicate it is pigskin and has no visible nap. However, as mentioned above, the leather can look like pedag’s but the width and shape of the heel grips are wrong and the padding is too flat to be effective.

I have a very narrow heel relative to the width of my toes, so I often need to use heel grips in shoes (particularly pumps). These are absolutely the BEST heel grips I've found! First, the adhesive sticks very well inside the shoe, better than the adhesive of every other brand I've tried (and believe me, I've tried a lot of brands). I waited until I wore the shoes they're in several times to be absolutely sure, but the grips are stuck exactly where they were originally placed - no slippage at all.

Second, they are made of leather with a slightly pebbly texture. I wondered if their texture would create snags on my stockings at the heel but they haven't and i think the texture actually creates a better "hold" on the heel. They are perhaps not quite as thick in dimension as some others (particularly compared to gel types) but I need to prevent slippage, not fill a large gap in an attempt to make too-large shoes fit. The fact they stay stuck in my shoes and create a good grip make these the best choice in my book. A+++

I purchased these for a few pairs of heels that I have. The shoes fit okay when I bought them, but then later on I realized I couldn't walk in them without the shoe flopping off my foot like a flip flop. Pretty dangerous in stilettos! I guess my feet were swollen when I tried them on in the store. These fixed the problem by adding a bit more in the back, but they are now kind of tight. Not too uncomfortable, though. I'm hoping in time they will break in a little bit. The thing you need to know, is that for them to work, you have to put the grip up high on the back of the shoe. Not down lower where you would think they would work best. They have to be almost flush with the top of the shoe. They won't work if you put them lower down in the heel. They are super sticky, so make sure you get a good placement the first time. I had to peel one off the shoe & place it a second time. I'm worried the adhesive is weakened now. I purchased a few extras, & recommend you do too, because I tend to mess everything up LOL. I read a lot of reviews & looked at a bunch of similar products before purchasing these. Bottom line: I'm glad I did. They may not work for you if your shoes are a teensy tiny bit too big. I'm estimating that both pairs of my shoes were about a half size too big. These saved my shoes that I couldn't even wear before. Thanks, Pedaq! If you have any questions, I'll definitely respond to comments.

I have tried EVERY...and I mean every...heel insert - gel type, ones like sandpaper, Petals, Dr. Scholls...all of them. This is the only one that has worked for me. I think it's because it's not a uniform size. Get that raised strip to hit the right spot on the back of your ankle and it stops the heel from slipping out of the shoe. The cover material is a rough nu-buck type - soft and it adds a little grip.

One warning - the adhesive on these is strong. If you need to remove these don't take off all the backing. I usually expose just about an inch in the center and that keeps these on most shoes.

I have so many heels and pumps that I don't wear because of heel slippage. Thanks to all the reviews on this product!!! I just got my set and I love them! They do help with the slippage. And I did stack two sets in one shoe because I needed extra cushioning and space to fill. it works like a charm!

They are comfortable, easy to install, and the boning in the middle does help the heel "hold on". Do not get those dr. scholls heel liners. They don't work like these do.

It says to use a shoe horn on the packaging. I don't have one. I just use my fingers to pull the back of my shoe while I load my foot in so I'm not rubbing the liner off.

I highly recommend this product in conjunction with these heel straps (for those that need extra help)
