I've been a fan of B.B. Reid's for a few years now, and I must say, she's out done herself with this story. The Peer and the Puppet is Ever and Four's story and CAN be read as a standalone, it's first in the series. The next book The Moth and the Flame will continue the storyline! I CANNOT WAIT to spend more time with these characters and find out more about them!
One of my ABSOLUTE TOP READS OF 2018!
The twist and turn, the who’s, how’s, why’s... make this story suspenseful and full of angst. You want one thing from Ever and the second he does it you are hoping he does something different. Ever and all the ups and downs yet I still love him (Keiran is still my no.1 boo though). Four should’ve punch Ever more often! That has to be my favorite part of this story and Jay D. I can’t wait for the rest of the series; to get more insight on the whole story and to see more of Jamie, Tyra and Vaughan.
The Peer and The Puppet just smashed my world today... Once again Bebe and her new twisted characters, with their wicked
stories, sucks me in completlty.
Bebe's books aren't simple... maybe they are about teenagers love-life and all drama involved, but she doesn't write common
and "usually" Young Adult books, she can write it in interesting way. Her writting will spoil You just as this rich and naughty kids can be.
Her books are always something BIG.
She give us singularity books, and it's not only because of masterpiece plot... And where is this BIG Bebe's secret? She always giving us pretty good story....
Story that make You thinking, that You just figured everything out, right?
But then, You realize, You couldn't be moore wrong, than You already are... because there's always more dark secrets and mistery to find out.
It's also because You can feel the love almost that strong as hate...
It's also because You see the fight so overwhelming as craving to be free...
In The Peer and The Puppet we meet girl named Four. She is everything what I love to see in young female character. She's
proud and brave, she won't let You, to put her in the second plan. She has dificult history, but doesn't give up. Sometimes she played on
my nerves, but I loved where Bebe's taken me with her story, in this book.
When the Four is, there will be also Ever - our golden pretty boy. He is master in making Four life living hell. He's young rich, beautifulll... and very mad at his own life. Is this only his facade? I must confess that till last page I haven't sussed him. He's this male character that You need to know by yourself... You can hate him or love him even more.
Maybe I'm takinig Bebe's side right now because I love her work, The Peer and the Pupper is such a great book !! She know how to leave readers with the need to see what will happen in next part of story and maybe it could be seen with the "other"eyes?
Yes definetly Bebe Reid is one of the most tallented Young authors, she always know how to suprise and plesaure her fans.
Does it will be FourEver and the happy ending ???
Well, You have to read this book to check it out.
Top international reviews
Four is the girl from the wrong side of the bike tracks, all she cares about is racing motocross. Until a race goes wrong and her mother forces them to move in with the new very rich boyfriend. But Four is used to the temporary men in her mothers life and thinks this is just another stopgap. How wrong is she?!? Things go from bad to worse when she meets Ever the arrogant entitled son, he’s determined to get rid of Four no matter what she doesn’t belong in their world and goes out of his way to show her. Being exiled for a year Four is back and planning revenge, but things have changed and as much as she wants to hate Ever it’s becoming impossible. Four is vulnerable and sweet but she’s no doormat.
Ever is the entitled rich son of a billionaire and sees Four and her mother as gold diggers. He’s determined to hate Four from the minute he meets her but can’t deny he’s pulled to her like a magnet. He managed to get rid of her once so he can do it again only this time he wants her closer than close. Especially as she knows his darkest secrets, keep your enemy’s closer as the saying goes. But is that the only reason?!? When Four is in danger because of both their extra curricular activities will he choose to save Four or throw her away?
The banter between the characters is brilliant and Jamie makes me giggle. It’s an angst filled, alpha male, intense chemistry and heroines with attitude then you’ll love this book. Can’t wait for the next book.

The Peer and the Puppet by B.B. Reid
The Peer and the Puppet (When Rivals Play, #1)
by B.B. Reid (Goodreads Author)
Book Hangover Alert!
This book should also come with a warning: may cause a lack of sleep due to being so damn good that sleep is secondary to reading this page turner of a story!
Drama, passion, emotion, intrigue and heat to the max!
A fantastic new enemies to lovers romance with the special kind of edge that only BB Reid can deliver.
Four and Ever's story is a slow acceleration that builds until you are going top speed down an
Its now 4:20am and I have to be up in 3 hours for work it was that unputdownable.
The freaking feels as well, oh my gosh i was an absolute mess!
Characters were perfect and the featils even to the secondary ones in depth and expertly woven into this addictive as hell story!
Unexpected twists that had me gasping in horror and delight.
Excllent and a definite rereader, can't wait formore from this or. Her words and characters suck you in and don't let go even after you finish!
In the Peer and the Puppet we meet Four whose opening pages made me love her reckless attitude, and her strong willed personality. She’s a tomboy who’s selfless, caring, feisty, loyal and resilient and is crazy about racing bikes. Her upbringing holds no value on her looking or feeling beautiful, and her only father figure is her boss Gruff. Her main goal is to graduate high school and then make a name for herself on the track, and nothing can deter her until she lands in trouble and meets her mother’s new rich man Thomas McNamara, which leads to her getting uprooted to Blackwood Keep.
Finding herself in new territory Four has to get used to a new environment, lifestyle and crowd. She meets Thomas’s son Ever aka the Peer, who makes it obvious she’s not welcome in his home or his playground, and goes out of his way to make her life difficult. The chemistry from their first meet was electric and continued throughout the storyline, and their sexy times were also hot! The angst between them felt so palpable it made me devour each page slowly, and I loved it! They challenge each other whilst the Peer thinks he can pull Four’s strings, and be a puppet to his games she has no intention of submitting willingly.
The bromance in this was also hilarious and I couldn’t soak up enough of it. I also loved Jamie’s relationship with Four. I can honestly say The Peer and the Puppet hit my top reads of 2018. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars was because of the suggested name change of Darren for a character, which made me feel completely disengaged with that character. Growing up in the UK I’m just too familiar with associating the name Darren as male, so my brain just refused to accept it as female. Its also one of my book peeves of female characters being given male names, and usually from the blurb I wouldn’t read such a book, but this wasn’t disclosed until later on in the Peer and the Puppet and took me by surprise, and as I said it made me disconnect to the character I loved, and I found it hard to reconnect back with her which made me sad. Poor editing was also part of my 4.5 star rating, and I’m hoping it does get that second edit as this storyline deserves a reader’s full attention.
Just when i thought Ever couldn't get any better he just opened his mouth and that was it, i was in love. People may find it weird when you love the character this much but they spend alot of the time being a complete A'hole but i just can't help myself I'm like a moth to a flame 🤭
Four was bloody amazing too, she was strong willed, she was sassy, she was funny. The list goes on, i think i have a big girl crush on her.
These two start fires with their chemistry, off the chart with their banter and fights you'd think the book should come with a complementary fire extinguisher or something! Lol
And don’t even get me started on Vaughn, Tyra and Jamie! *sigh*
As always BB bloody smashed it, not that I’m surprised because well.. it's BB 🤷♀️😂
Four is a badass heroine, who likes to live life on the edge. Until she winds up in whole lot of trouble, causing her mum to move her away.
Ever is a drop dead gorgeous, bad boy and the most popular kid in town. He’s also the son of her mum’s new fancy man...
Ever is Four’s new worst nightmare..
I love a good teenage enemies to lovers romance and boy oh boy did I get what I wanted.
Four and Ever were just Fire together bringing the love/hate/passion/angst and drama.
This book is mind blowing and so cleverly written that I just want- no I need more! I need the second book and I need it now! Come on B.B Reid where is it? I can’t wait.
Jokes aside this is a 5+ ⭐️must read- go and buy it now if you haven’t but I warn you be prepared to not put it down until the very end
I can't wait to read the next book in this awesome series.
See you on the outer side .☺
Five MASSIVE STARS from me xxxxx
