This Peerless P299578LF-SS seems of good quality to me. The parts that are important to be metal are in fact metal. The parts that just need to look good but don't need strength are plastic with a metallic finish. I have no complaints about their design decisions on which is which.
I did not need to go to the store for any parts except a basin wrench tool (thank you to the reviewer who clued me in about that). My existing hoses which are recent and in good shape fit just fine and there were no leaks after installation. The faucet fit the sink holes and the baseplate covers everything it needs to.
I was a little underwhelmed with the water throughput of the sprayer. It was OK but I liked my old one better so I cleaned up and re-used my old sprayer head.
I was also a little underwhelmed by the water throughput of the main faucet. But (also thanks to another reviewer), I easily opened up the aerator and removed the restrictor plate, and now I get full water flow. On a side note, with the restrictor plate in, the faucet dribbled for a few seconds after turning it off. I thought this was simply due to the curved neck, but this has stopped after I removed the restrictor plate, so I'm happy about that now too. I can see how the restrictor would be useful for someone with low water pressure to still allow the aerator to work, or for someone who is concerned about water conservation. I have good pressure and I want a lot of water flow - my choice.
This faucet seem every bit as good as the high dollar one it replaced, which had issues with the neck not sealing well. I can't comment on longevity at this time.
The faucet is for 4 hole sinks with 8 inch centers (the distance between the center of the hole for the hot and cold faucet is 8 inches), between these holes is the hole for the supply to the spray, then another hole for the spray will need to be located close by. The height of the spout from the countertop to the highest point is 12.5 inches. The base with handles and spout is 10.25 inches wide. The spout extends 9 inches. The sprayer stands 6 inches tall, it requires a 1 inch hole to mount.
The faucet itself is metal, and not metal coated or metal looking plastic. It appears to be well made, and functions as expected.
Whilst the faucet is metal, it is not a heavy or substantial feeling faucet (which is understandable given how inexpensive it is), it does not feel cheap or flimsy, but it doesn't feel 'heavy duty' either. The tall swivel spout can be rotated in either direction, and moves freely and smoothly. You can fit a mop bucket underneath for filling if the bucket will fit in your sink.
Installation is simple. You place the faucet through the holes, and hold in place with the plastic lock nuts. Then screw the water supply lines on (standard 1/2"-14 NPSM). The spray hose snaps in place with a simple push fitting.
This faucet will instantly dress up any kitchen. It turned gave our once drab looking mother-in-law suit kitchen a new lease of life. I would buy again.
I have now had this faucet for almost 4 years now and I have to say that it looks and performs like I just installed it. This is one of the best faucet buys that I have ever done. The all-metal design is great, and it's easy to clean hard water deposits where they may accumulate. I would not hesitate to buy this again, it's a winner.
Oh, and just for disclosure's sake - NO ONE has paid me or given me free stuff or any compensation of any sort to give this unit a good review. I just appreciate good stuff, and I absolutely HATE paid-for reviews. That's really cheap and dishonest, IMHO.

They do however have a limit of 1.8 maximum gallons per minute rating, so if you have lower water pressure, this may be something to consider.
