If you have not yet decided on which 1510 case, compare the 'standard' and the 1510 LOC case before you buy and after reading this and other user reviews.
URL, 1510 LOC Case:
The webbed pockets of the 1519 Lid Organizer are large enough for a variety of photo related items including small (paper) notebooks, pens, etc. When 'full' with my necessary photo items, these pockets are still within the lid area allowing me to include my 13" 2 in 1 Laptop in its sleeve along with the bag for PC accessories. Even with my sleeved PC inside the Pelican 1510's PC sleeve, the lid closes securely as intended.
You can permanently attach the 1519 Organizer with the screws provided OR (if you have purchased the 1510 LOC) use 2 inch wide self-adhesive Velcro and swap out the 1519 Organizer with the laptop sleeve and PC accessory bag when you want. In the case of the Pelican 1510 LOC, there is already a plastic backer sheet (similar to the rear of the 1519 Organizer) screwed into place with Velcro affixed -all that is required is to attach 2 inch wide self-adhesive Velcro to the back of the Organizer to match that of the 1510 LOC and there is no longer need to screw and unscrew units when swapping them out. You have the best of both world and BOTH photo gear AND laptop can stow in the overhead compartment! No worries!
In my opinion, this product is the perfect option for your Pelican case-especially if you have already purchased the 1510 LOC and want an additional and convenient storage option.
TL;DR not the best quality, oriented such that it wastes a lot of space.
Recommendation: don't bother. Just use the laptop lid organizer (or a cheap, flexible cutting board cut to size) and customize it with organizer cubes and Velcro. Attach the Velcro to the laptop backing and to the organizer cubes using Sugru (silicone rubber glue, you'll need about 3-4 packs). Sugru can be found online or at Target, I found organizer cube trios at TJMaxx for 50% off, and velcro can be found at any sewing store or store with a sewing section. Happy hacking!
Some say you have to drill the lid of your case but my case already have standoffs molded into the lid. Maybe the older one doesn't? - in which case the screws might be too long and I would suggest either buying shorter screws or mounting with Velcro. Mounting onto the case could be a little tricky - Just start with the bottom left screw, then bottom middle. That way you can flex the organizer to get your screwdriver into place. Once those two are done all the remaining screws are easy access.
