If you have ADD or issues with visual organizing, this product is a life saver. I have several of these. Instead of random piles of receipts, bills to pay, notes, coupons, bank deposits, I make one of these for the major areas of my life. One of them is "Home". I have sections for IN, OUT (things to drop off while doing errands), Financial, Health etc. I also make them for major projects like home improvements. I have a really hard time processing piles of paper and mail. It seems to stress my brain in a way that makes me confused and unfocused. When I can put something is a specific category that is 'like' the other things that are with it, I have a much easier time. This is a great product and I can't say enough about how much it's helped me.

As a teacher, I have used countless methods to organize student papers as I cart them between home and work. This is my favorite and I've actually purchased a few for other things at home. My favorite quality is that is adapts to your paper load. The nights I only have a few papers to grade, it's small and almost as slim as a thick legal pad. When I have hundreds of papers to grade, they fit too. I've placed as much as 5 inches in it. At that thickness it's a pushed a little to its limit, but it still functions perfectly. Many "flexible" accordion-like organizers are mostly one size and even if empty take up a lot of room in your bag. The other great simplicity is that you can open it like a book and quickly flip between the sections instead of digging out papers from closed in sleeves to see what they are. I don't label the tabs because it's so easy to scan your entire paper load and find what I want, I often just shove a new batch of papers in the first open section I find and that is plenty enough organization. The cord that wraps over the corners keeps everything inside better than you might think from the picture (partial pieces of paper could theoretically slide out, but I've never had it happen). The plastic is sturdy and the first one of these I purchased is probably 10 years old now and still looks brand new.

I use a second one daily to keep my desk clean. My desk can become cluttered easy, but now I just tuck things into this that need attention at a different time. When I open it, it's like I have 10 separate and organized desktops. I use a third one to organize important papers at home.

These Pendaflex things are the answer for me. Some papers need to be kept in easy reach, rather than being filed in a drawer.

But, they need to be organized as well as quickly accessible. Paper piles work for that: they keep things organized, but they are messy. And sometimes I can’t find what I need quickly enough.

When that happens, I get frustrated and think I need to file everything. But then the papers won’t be close at hand. And that will be a lot of filing.

This product is my answer. For those working projects that need quick access but have several categories, this product is amazing. I feel so calm and organized using it!

Plus, it’s portable. I know there are expandable file folders with inner dividers, but these are better. Imagine one of those expandable files that opens like a book. You can flip through the pages. The ends are open to facilitate removal of pages.

And when you have found that special paper you need, and taken it out, then you can slide up the elastic holders so nothing falls out. The rest of your papers are safe, and perfectly organized.

Five stars. Absolutely. Sometimes I like to just sit and look at my Pendaflex after I use it. Am I silly? It makes me feel so calm and happy. Peaceful. I feel organized and ready for anything.

I have been waiting to find an organizer like this one. It is absolutely perfect. You can use it for at home or work. Personally I organize my multiple projects and to-do's in this folder. They give you multiple pieces of smaller paper rectangles to slip into the label holes so that you can switch them out at your leisure. You can have just a few pieces of paper organized in here or an entire stack. Very well built. Would definitely recommend!

AMAZING! I have been dreaming about something like this and am thrilled that this actually exists. I am a former 3 ring binder user, but now that I'm a PhD student, I find that I accumulate a huge amount of paper between taking 5 classes, my own research, and teaching undergrad, that I don't have the time or energy to 3 hole punch and organize every night into binders. This allows me to have organized spots for all my papers in one central location. The capacity is perfect because it encourages me to file papers I don't need on an every day basis into my file cabinet and not lug around unnecessary weight on a daily basis, but I have never not had enough space in this for what I need. If this ever wears out, which I doubt will happen soon since it seems incredibly durable, I will certainly repurchase!

I hate binders and needing to punch holes in paper and hearing that snap from the rings and trying to write on the backside of a piece of paper with the rings in the way. What a wonderful product! I can organize all my papers whichever way I want and not have to worry about punching holes and all that! I even throw in whole folders into some sections! I am doing my second degree and use this for school and totally wish I had discovered this when I was in school the last time. It definitely keeps everything together and organized! I can't even begin to express how awesome it is not to need to conform to the use of binders with this sorter! I also like that it comes with extra labelling sheets for the tabs so that I can keep using this for future semesters!

Not as good as the cardboard ones of old time
