In my opinion the author should have made this 1 book instead of several smaller editions. The book is a little out of date, but this happens. The Author is definitely a Dave Ramsey person who is Anti-credit card, cash only and it doesn't address the need to build credit for larger purchases. For Example: The Author stated she bought a car for $500 cash, but she didnt stay how long it lasted after the purchase or how often it broke down, or what necessary repairs cost.

“Just because you are living a frugal lifestyle does not mean that you have to be boring.” Sounds like the authors need to take their own advice there. I’m honestly baffled as to how there are high review scores for this. This just has a bunch of common sense information like using coupons. And then they say to cut down on your possessions. Because if you’re trying to be a “penny pincher” and don’t have much anyway, the first thing you totally want to do is get rid of what little you have… This was just such a disappointing book. I saw maybe one thing I hadn’t thought of before. Don’t waste your time on this.

Book 5 was OK, with some good money-saving tips. The rest were all very much common sense, and very repetitive. Also, an editor is badly needed. It seems to have been written at a 3rd- grade level, even with errors such as "to" in place of "too". Well, the set was only $5, so I guess you get what you pay for.
