The book is nice and I like the pocket in back. I think the paper is a little thin. If you are going to use it as a drawing pad use pencil, ink wrinkles the paper. I got it to sketch with white gel pen, not reccommended.

I love the black journal pages more than any type of journal paper. This is my ultimate favorite book vs hardbacks, stitched or tear out pages. I have visual eye blindness (wears glasses) so black paper is much easier to write and color code/organize thoughts onto paper than plain basic white paper. I’m less distracted and less prone to errors plus eye stigmatization looking at screens/tv, movements all day builds up to headaches. Black journal pages gives me good focus.

Nice sturdy soft cover w a satin ribbon as bookmark and rubber band to hold book in tact. Black journal pages works wonders on
Sakura “Moonlight” finepoint jelly pens or
Dyvicl “White Gouache” 0.8 jelly pens are nice and thick against black paper also fade-resistant so it shouldn’t smear ink off paper. Metallic watercolor also go nice on black paper adding creative pop.

Tip: not all jelly roll pens work brand:
• Niutop jelly pens in x glitter x neon x regular = do not work
• Niutop in + pastel + metallic = works
• Sakura moonlight (all collections) = works
• Dyvicl white gouache = works

This journal is a decent product with a flexible cover that is thick and somewhat durable; however, I am not sure how long it will last. The paper is thick and of good quality. For a black paper journal, I am somewhat pleased with it, but I am concerned that this cover is not sturdy enough to keep pages from tearing away or falling out of the journal altogether.
