I first found out about this because my teenager nearly blew out my eardrums as she ran screaming from her room that Pentatonix was releasing a Christmas album. Once I recovered my hearing, I was able to enjoy their songs, and I'm happy to report this is their best Christmas music yet. I loved how each voice was showcased in Hallelujah. What talent! Up on a Housetop was even better than the Jackson 5 version. What an incredibly gifted group of musicians. This album is definitely going to be our new holiday favorite. It's a good thing, because we wore their other two albums out last year. I own a lot of Christmas music, from Kelly Clarkson to all of the country and classic legends. Pentatonix is the one that gets played the most at our house. Each of the five musicians have gifted voices and talents and are essential to the group's unique style. What I love most about them is that their music is so appealing to all ages, and listening to them has brought my daughter and me closer together. Thanks, Pentatonix!

This album is probably my favorite of all their Christmas albums. It's quirky and has great classics with their usual Pentatonix twist. Their two originals songs in this album are awesome. A must buy! A few of the songs on here skeptics may think the songs have been overdone and have no way of being different, but pentatonix found a way to twist the songs enough to keep the original magic but make it their own enough that it really stands out from other covers and brings the excitement of listening to that song for the first time again. It fills you with the joy of Christmas and a heart filled with song! Buy this CD, you won't regret it!

Last year I was introduced to Pentatonix, aka PTX, when my mom asked for their album, That's Christmas to Me, for Christmas. Admittedly, I'd been living under a rock while raising twin toddlers so I really didn't know much about any newer artists. After my mom mentioned them, I realized they were also one of the groups featured in Pitch Perfect 2, the second of the movies about competitive collegiate a capella groups. I listened to That's Christmas to Me and loved it so imagine my excitement when I saw that they recently released a new Christmas album! Needless to say, I immediately ordered it.

A Pentatonix Christmas contains 11 songs and is approximately 34 minutes long so it's fairly short but it's packed full of beautiful Christmas songs, both traditional and contemporary. I love traditional Christmas carols and PTX rocks it with their renditions of "O Come, All Ye Faithful," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," and "Up on the Housetop." One of my favorite Christmas songs is Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" and, while PTX sings a fun, jazzed-up version of the song, I still prefer the original (but that's just me). There is a beautiful version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and I really enjoyed hearing "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays," a remake of 'N SYNC's popular Christmas song. The other songs on the album are very enjoyable as well and I have listened to this album all the way through a couple times already!

If you are looking for some new Christmas music for this holiday season, I'd highly recommend purchasing this album. I think it's as good as That's Christmas to Me even though this one is fairly short.

Listen to it. Don't even think about whether or not you should. PTX has never let me down and this album is included in that. Its October and I usually don't listen to Christmas music now but this is fantastic. I will religiously playing this till new years and probably after.

What a great collection of Christmas music! I fell in love with the arrangements that Pentatonix is presenting.

Notables for me of the "regular Christmas fare" are God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (finally done at a fast pace which the music calls for), White Christmas (featuring The Manhattan Transfer) which has a definite jazzy feel to it, Up on the Housetop with its playful tone, and Coventry Carol with its intricate harmonies.

New songs are The Christmas Sing-Along and Good to Be Bad, both of which I enjoyed.

The arrangement of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah was gorgeous, but I don't count that as a Christmas song, although it seems to be popularly sung during the season.

The stops are pulled out in Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, providing a great finale.

Overall, I thoroughly welcome this CD to my Christmas music collection. I know Pentatonix fans will love this. I think people who like vocal music such as Home Free and Peter Hollens will also like it. If you enjoy Christmas music, I think you should certainly try it out.

Got the MP3 version, so no issues with case cracks as others had. I also liked the very different arrangements of the songs. I can hear more "standard" versions in a million places. What I like is the jazzed/doowop versions Pentatonix does. It's what I come to listen to Pentatonix to hear. The African-style version of "O Come All Ye Faithful" was a particular surprise that I liked. Congratulations to whomever does their arrangements (if, indeed, it isn't them all the time). And since I like Manhattan Transfer, having them on one track was cool, too.
