I have a Pentax K-5 that I love. But there were problems with the early K-5 with stains on the sensor. The K-5 also has a function that maps out the dust that is on the sensor. I was not sure if I had a stain problem, but I was getting some obvious marring on shots with a consistent color background (e.g. sky) and knew that I needed too take care of it. But rather than send the camera in for cleaning, I decided to try the Pentax O-ICK1 since it was well regarded by Pentax camera aficionados and it was far cheaper than giving my beloved K-5 to a dealer! I also bought a Giotto Rocket to help blow dust off my lenses but this was the main unit for the delicate sensor cleaning.
I admit to having some trepidation at touching the CCD sensor with this, but my worries were unfounded! Read the instructions! If you do, using this is simple and it was very effective the first time that I used it. I have used it a number of times now - I swap between lenses quite often - and between the Pentax automatic dust mapping and this cleaner,dust is no problem!
Very highly recommended, and it does not need to be for a Pentax camera. Even the poor people stuck using Nikon, Canon or Sony cameras can have the quality experience of using a Pentax product on their camera!

I have Pentax K-1, about 2 years old w/ heavy use and was acquiring "blow-off resistant" dust spots. So I thought I'd buy the "OEM" cleaning kit to be safe. Received and used exactly per instructions, very carefully. Some of the dust was indeed removed. But the sticky lollipop apparently had a cohesive failure and left TWO significantly larger and impossible-to-remove (w/ lollipop) "goobers" (I'm speculating tiny bit of the lollipop itself). So now every image appeared to have two "seagulls" flying in background that had to be cloned out... Very stressful result!! Long story short - brought camera to a shop and paid $60 for wet cleaning. Guy that did it said what usually takes 15 minutes took about 60 minutes (to get those two tenacious spots off). In googling on this, I've found some other reports of same exact story.
