I did read an uncorrected advance digital copy of this book, so while I felt it could benefit from additional editing, I see the value of this small volume. It is an excellent introduction to each of the contributing authors.
I discovered four in particular that resonated with me and with whom I will be following up and about whom I am interested in learning more.
Each of "the Bonnies," Bonnie Frank and Bonnie Chase, contributed not only a clear impression of their principles and expertise but also shared specific action steps the reader can take while reading the book that will deliver immediate results.
Patti O'Leary begins with the basics of S.M.A,R.T. goal setting then offers more.
Christine Kelly-Hatch seems to start with advice for love based relationships. Her information can be applied to other types of relationships as well as learning how to communicate with oneself.
Wanda Lovale wrote about finding your own significance and how the way we frame our thoughts impacts our message.
Kristy Jones describes how important it is to understand and clarify one's personal story and self worth.
Authenticity, communicating from the soul rather than the ego, being open to listen, receive and adjust, based on feedback, are all covered to some extent. Learning styles and our learned repeat patterns of behavior are discussed. It is stressed that these communication skills are learnable and can be improved upon.
Everyone who reads this book will take away valuable lessons they are ready to receive regarding their own life.
Whether you are a coach, desire to begin a coaching practice, or are looking to connect with a coach for yourself, this book will give you ideas to evaluate, to discover what topics and methods resonate with you. It may show you ways of communicating that you need to work on and offer methods that will benefit both your personal and professional life.
