I loved this book. As I read it I'm thinking, "This book is not only a great help for youth pastors but for everyone who in not a hermit." Trevor used solid quotes, practical tips, good research and personal illustrations to not only keep the reader's attention, but to inspire us to engage others better. I was refreshed after I read it and am sharpening my interactions with others. I'm recommending People Skills to my friends in a variety of walks of life.

Trevor Hamaker's ways to strengthen our people skills can be applied to people of all ages & all walks of life. Trevor reminds us that we should show God's love through us by the way we communicate with others (verbally & nonverbally). Being a better people person will help us be better witnesses for Jesus Christ! A great read! (I highlighted the majority of the book!)

A very simple guide to not only being a better Youth Pastor, but a better person as well. Since we are all designed to be relational, this book shows us the importance of people skills and gives practical advice on how to build on those skills. Tremendously helpful for anyone in any stage of life.

Very nicely done. I was impressed. Lots of simple things that most people forget. Of course there were some golden nuggets of wisdom and prudence that was new to me, as it would be for most who read this book.

It's obvious that Trevor has lived out what he teaches. I love the authentic way he shares and believe this book will help many Youth Pastors and people in general. Thankful to have someone who's been in the trenches to lead us on.

The book itself is pretty straightforward. It is helpful for pastors who are looking to improve their people skills. My only concern is most of the thoughts presented are borrowed from other thought leaders to the point that it seems like you are reading the other books being reiterated.
