- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup shelled pumpkin seeds (unsalted)
- 2 avocadoes
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeno pepper (finely chopped and seeded)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Start with roasting sweet potatoes. Toss them in spices and oil and put into the oven for about 30 minutes. Set the heat to 425F and toss the potatoes a few times while they are baking.
- While the sweet potatoes are roasting, go to work on your spiced black beans. Heat up olive oil in a pan and brown the onions before adding spices, beans, and water. Cover the pan and let simmer for 5 minutes before pureeing the beans with a potato masher or a blender. Add the seasonings and mix.
- Dry roast pumpkin seeds for a few minutes before combining them with the rest of ingredients for the dip and processing all of them in a blender. Add more water if necessary.
- Stuff your tortillas with a generous helping of all ingredients.

Here's the kicker: In a country with virtually no environmental laws, "organic" food production is largely a fraud because environmental sources contaminate the foods or superfoods being produced there.

The most important thing is that the seeds are fresh and taste great. There is not a problem with quality except for the dried up ones shown. They come in a zip lock top bag.
Here's my Raw Trail Mix Recipe:
At least 2 cups raw shredded coconut, organic coconut oil, raw pumpkin seeds, raw sunflower seeds, a little raw flax meal, some raw chia seeds, mineral salt, organic stevia, dried cranberries, dried blueberries. Throw it all in a bowl, using generous amounts of the coconut oil. Mix it together with your hands, taste as you go. If you want, add a little raw sugar.and a pinch of cayenne for zing. Since it's raw, it needs to stay refrigerated unless you live in a Northern climate. We're in South Carolina where everything except our dogs stays refrigerated.
If I'm doing intermittent fasting I use this when I'm ready to eat again. It's super healthy for you. Yay!
I did grind some of them to add to sourdough bread and when I tasted them in the bread they were quite good, but I didn't add enough so I only got a taste every now and then. Even if these do not work out for the cats, I will probably buy them again. I want to continue adding them to the bread I bake weekly, and try toasting some with various spices, for a healthy snack. I would most certainly recommend this product.
