This book will help you to get the most effectiveness from your pepper spray when you use it.

While this is a short book in terms of total pages, it still does a good job of covering the subject of OC/Pepper Sprays. Persons looking for information on other forms of incapacitating gasses, sprays will not find that coverage here. The book is a bit dated but the basic blocks of what is and makes Pepper sprays, is still relevent. A good overview of the entire subject is presented. The basics of what, and how are covered, along with scattered photos - also a bit dated. There is no history of the product or it's development. The book is focused more on how to pick one for effectiveness and how to use them. Subjects that most readers would want to know. Of course some newer products are currently on the market but that does not really detract from this book. I liked it and felt it actually added some to my Law Enforcement Pepper Spray training that I have had. Rate it at perhaps a two night read.

This is a good solid book that tells the reader what pepper spray is and how to use it. However, the material is a little dated since there are now at least 2 more different types of pepper spray formulas on the market. However, it's a good starting point for anyone new to pepper spray.

An impotent writer, an incompotent work

I'm an expert on pepper sprays and I have to say that this book is not practical self defense, it is impractical self mess! This guy Doug Lamb is limp in his knowledge of pepper sprays and utterly flaccid when it comes to the stiff hard realities of self defense! I give this book an F!
