Traveling by car with a parrot is not always simple. Is the carrier safe? Will your bird destroy it and/or injure himself? Can he escape in transit? Is it a manageable size for you to carry? Does it fit easily in the car. The Perch & Go parrot travel cage solves all of these problems

Also, I'd recommend buying a different perch for the cage. The one included is also made of crummy plastic and it hurts my hands just holding it. I can't imagine making a bird sit on it while traveling!
You better believe I'll be gluing all the seams on this piece of junk with liquid cement glue. I'd return it if I could. Definitely would NOT advise to get this cage.
I would have given it 5 stars if the assembly had been easier. It was close to impossible to snap the pieces together without breaking the whole thing. I was holding my breath the whole time. It took about 30-45 minutes to assemble and the front door latch is still tough to open and close.
Postives: great size, my bird loves it, it is sturdy
Negatives: hard to put together, front door is hard to open and close
That said, I purchased this recently for a long car trip with my Senegal parrot. the included perch, which was actually not bad, I chose to replace with a flexible fabric-covered perch so that she could move about more freely, and added a Lixit bottle to the back panel with an inexpensive hook-on cup underneath to catch drips. This is important as the bottom of the carrier has open slots, and water leakage will go everywhere if not contained. Similarly, a hook-on cup worked well for food.
Turtle Bird was surprisingly happy in this carrier. She was able to clearly see everything going on. The carrier felt very secure and solid, and in no danger of coming apart or opening accidentally. We were also able to take her with us to places such as the beach, which she seemed to enjoy while remaining safe in her carrier. She was certainly happier to be with us than alone at home!
The one criticism I have is that the door locking mechanism does not work easily or smoothly, and must be dealt with with two hands. That said, it is secure.
This is still a bit small to use for housing, especially if your bird is larger than a Sennie.
I would not hesitate to recommend this to any bird owner seeking a safe way to transport their bird in a car; other modes of conveyance I cannot speak to.
