Percy comes to the Hathaway House at Aaron's insistence, after all, he already put in a good word for him and more. Percy is reluctant to go but soon discovers that it's the best thing he ever did for himself.

Giada has a chance meeting with Percy as she is picking up the slack when two housekeepers called out. She has been there for a few years but lives with her brother. He is engaged to be married in 6 months.

As Percy and Giada talk, he gives her a few things to think about and well things happen quickly from there. This story is a wonderful addition to this series. I love the family-like feel of Hathaway House and Ms. Mayer writes about wonderful characters who you can't help but root for. I really and truly wish there was a place like this for people to heal.

I have loved this series since book one and am excited to see Stan get his HEA. I certainly hope that there is one for Dennis too!

I’ve enjoyed all the Hathaway House books. I was especially interested and intrigued she used therapy animals in her stories. Along the way, however, her books neglected the therapy animals; sure they are mentioned, but they don’t appear anymore like they did in her first books. I think that’s a shame. I believe therapy animals can really make a difference, and showcasing them makes them more acceptable.

Her books now, while still good and enjoyable, are just like any other romance story. There’s nothing special anymore that draws you in and makes them more special than any other romance.

I hope she starts incorporating the therapy animals back into her stories again in future books!

These stories usually start with the new patients to Hathaway House are suffering and struggling as a result of their journey to get to their destination. Their difficult adjustment to the first several days of a new reality finds them making unexpected and surprising new friendships and new bonds.

The life struggles of both Percy and Giada create a bond between them right away. Empathy for the life each other has lived soon turns into a common bond to nurture. Communication becomes an issue, but their support for each other is heartwarming.

I appreciate the number of staff members at Hathaway House who are keeping an eye on the two to make sure the new friendship is a healthy one and progressing for all the right reasons.

I love these inspiring and exciting stories full of hope, love and friendly support.

Always feel uplifted after finishing any of the books in this series written by Dale Mayer.
