Rafe is angry and out for blood, set on demolishing and demoralizing both Tam and Haimon. He wasn't counting on the boys being so attached to her or his own sympathy when it came to separating the three. But he remembered the painful breakup he and Tamsin had gone through when she was sixteen. It had been abrupt and without explanation.
Tamsin has dedicated her whole life to these two boys and always trying to help Haimon, thinking all along that he is the boys' father. Her mother died years before and the boys have been in her care ever since.
When Rafe shows up with eviction papers and a head full of steam, she knows she has to fight for them. Much to her dismay, she discovers that her feelings for Rafe haven't changed since she was sixteen. But she does fight for the boys and never wants to give up on her loser stepfather, who besets her and betrays her at every turn.
Haimon is a greedy man, always doing shady deals, getting into trouble with the bill collectors (and not the legitimate kind). He tracks Tam and the boys to Greece and coerces her into betraying Rafe again.
This was such a great book. The plot was tight. The characters were believable and easy to care about. There chemistry between Tam and Rafe was amazingly done. The writing was very good. There were some surprises that made me want to shake Tam and yell, "Just tell him!"
This is the kind of story that makes you want to stay up all night and read it until the end. I loved it.
Raphael Vounó was out for revenge for his father's death. He bought the hotel which the Drakos' owned. Tamsin Drakos had no ideal that her stepfather had got an eviction notice. She and her brothers had made a home in the top floor of the hotel. Raphael and Tamsin had been involved 10 years ago, but her stepfather, Haimon, had made her tell a lie to Raphael or he would harm the boys. She had no choice. The boys would not leave their sister, so she went with them to Greece. While there Raphael accused her of things and when the big deal came through he finally wanted answers. He had been a fool for not believing Tamsin. You never know what is in store for you in this book. You at first at upset with Raphael's anger and his attempt to take her brothers from her. But fate has a way of stepping in and making things right again. Enjoy this read, makes for think about revenge is it sweet or does it turn you into a monster.
